My heart stopped beating for a good ten seconds and my hands felt cold. I was clearly blushing and I couldn’t look into your eyes anymore. My bench partner also gave me “the” look and in just a matter of five minutes, I was the coolest person in class. Anyway, I gathered my heart together and said “I like you too.” As soon as your heard this, your expressions changed and you said “I’m sorry, we were just playing Truth, Dare, Double Dare, Stare and I had to do this..” I wouldn’t say I wasn’t disappointed, but I still said, “I know, I figured, I just didn’t want to embarrass you.”
As you walked away to your friends, you turned around and you smiled at me. That’s it, that was where I lost my heart to you and that boring Monday became my favourite day of the week.I knew this was the start of something because that smile, was not ordinary.
I got through the entire week from Monday to Friday and for the first time ever, I wasn’t happy about the weekend. I came to school to look at you and every time our class teacher called your name out during attendance, all my friends would smile at me and your friends would do the same to you. We’d exchange glances during every period and our friends would tease us all day. We would often get mad at them for teasing us like that, but deep inside, we both knew how much we liked that feeling.
I finally gathered the courage to talk to you when the dispersal bell rang and asked you for a possible way to talk after school. You said that you only had a common landline number, but if I wished to talk, I could add you on Facebook—thinking about the way you smiled after saying that, melts my heart even today.
I reached home, finished my chores and immediately searched for you on Facebook. I found you in seconds and sent you a quick friend request. While I was scrolling through your profile, possibly trying to find out more about you, a notification beeped and you said “Hi". (Continue reading in comments)
