Voice of Villages – Empowering Through Panchayati Raj
The students of Class VIII G took center stage to present a thought-provoking assembly on the theme “Voice of Villages – Panchayati Raj” on 24th April 2026. Through an engaging role play, students beautifully brought to life the spirit of decentralisation introduced by the 73rd Amendment, highlighting how grassroots democracy empowers rural communities to shape their own future. From explaining the three-tier structure of Panchayati Raj to showcasing the organisation of the Gram Panchayat, and the pivotal role of the Gram Sabha—every element was presented with clarity and confidence.
The assembly went beyond facts, encouraging the audience to reflect on the importance of listening, understanding diverse perspectives, and resolving conflicts through dialogue and responsible decision-making. A meaningful effort by our young changemakers to remind us that true democracy begins at the grassroots.
