Nepal is a developing country in south Asia Region between India & China. The last almost two decades have found tremendous development in the number of Medical colleges in this country. The private colleges which are reconginzed /affiliated by Kathmandu Universtiy,Tribhuban University & other Universities,are established by both Nepalese & Foreign Groups(mainly Indians). Nepalese­owned schools provide 15 % and foreign owned schools 30% of the total seats with full tuition scholarship to students,who are selected throguh an entrance examination conducted bu the ministry of Education. The students have to serve in health facilites in ruralNepal for two years after graduation and are becoming an important source of support to Nepal’s heath condition

There are only two universities­ Institute of Medicine (IOM) under the Tribhuvan University (TU) and the Kathmandu University (KU) providing affiliation to medical schools here in Nepal. The BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) and the Patan Academy of Health Science (PAHS) are two autonomous academies conducting MBBS courses.

As per mentioned colleges details below all are recognised by WHO,MCI & other international medical bodies

Eligbility Criteria­ As per the Kathmandu University/Tribhuvan University,Those students have secured 50 % in Physics,Chemistry & Biology,they are eligible for entrance examination. This rule is also appilcable for other Universities in Nepal.As per selection or choosen colleges/institutes, it depends on colloges to colleges, these institutions have their own selection or elebility for 12th percentage/aggregate.
