🪴स्वावलंबी 2025 स्टार्टअप एक्सपो: “पंच-परिवर्तन” के मार्ग पर नवाचार और उद्यमिता की नई उड़ान🪴

श्‍यामा प्रसाद मुखर्जी महिला महाविद्यालय (दिल्ली विश्‍वविद्यालय) में इस वर्ष का दो दिवसीय स्वावलंबी 2025 स्टार्टअप एक्सपो अत्यंत उत्साह और नवाचारपूर्ण माहौल में सफलतापूर्वक संपन्न हुआ। इस वर्ष एक्सपो का आयोजन विशेष रूप से “पंच-परिवर्तन” की अवधारणा पर केंद्रित रहा, जिसके पाँच प्रमुख स्तंभ—स्वदेशी प्रोत्साहन, सामाजिक समरसता, पर्यावरण संरक्षण, कुटुंब कल्याण, तथा नागरिक कर्तव्य-बोध—ने पूरे कार्यक्रम की दिशा निर्धारित की। इन पाँच क्षेत्रों के अनुरूप छात्राओं को प्रोत्साहित करने हेतु एक्सपो में “Vocal for Local”, “Atmanirbhar Bharat” और “Nari Shakti Vandan” जैसे विषयों को प्रमुखता दी गई।

🌺पहला दिन: उद्घाटन एवं नवाचार का आरंभ🌺

एक्सपो का शुभारंभ प्राचार्या प्रो. नीलम गोयल के संरक्षण में रिबन-कटिंग, पुष्पांजलि तथा दीप प्रज्ज्वलन के साथ हुआ। इसके पश्चात मुख्य वक्ता, उद्योग विशेषज्ञों और सामाजिक उद्यमियों ने छात्रों का मार्गदर्शन किया और स्टार्टअप संस्कृति को आगे बढ़ाने पर महत्वपूर्ण विचार साझा किए।
UDGAM Incubation Centre ने पहले दिन 21 छात्राओं के स्टॉल के साथ नवाचार को एक सशक्त मंच प्रदान किया।

🍃दूसरा दिन: उद्यमिता, सृजनात्मकता और मार्गदर्शन का संगम🍃

समापन दिवस की शुरुआत डॉ. श्यामा प्रसाद मुखर्जी की प्रतिमा पर माल्यार्पण और दीप प्रज्ज्वलन से हुई। नवरंग सोसाइटी का नुक्कड़ नाटक—“वोकल फ़ॉर लोकल”, “आत्मनिर्भर भारत”, “नारी शक्ति वंदन”—ने उपस्थित दर्शकों को पंच-परिवर्तन के मूल भावों से जोड़ते हुए ऊर्जावान संदेश दिया।

उद्गम इनक्यूबेशन सेंटर के संयोजक डॉ. मनीष कुमार सिंह ने रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत करते हुए बताया कि कुल 27 छात्र स्टॉल तथा 10 शिक्षा विभाग स्टॉल ने प्रतिभाग किया। कार्यक्रम के सफल संचालन में 19 स्वयंसेवकों ने महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई।
मुख्य वक्ताओं एवं विशिष्ट अतिथियों—सामाजिक उद्यमी सुश्री ध्वनि जैन, स्टार्टअप विशेषज्ञ CA अंशुल कुमार, तथा विश्वविद्यालय के संयुक्त डीन (छात्र कल्याण) प्रो. (डॉ.) ए. के. सिंह—ने छात्राओं को पंच-परिवर्तन के अनुरूप नवाचार-आधारित उद्यमिता की दिशा में आगे बढ़ने के लिए प्रेरित किया।

कार्यक्रम के अंत में सभी उद्यमी प्रतिभागियों एवं स्वयंसेवकों को प्रमाणपत्र देकर सम्मानित किया गया।

*Swavalambi 2025 Startup Expo Concludes with an Inspiring Valedictory Session*

The two-day Swavalambi 2025 – Startup Expo concluded on an energizing note with its valedictory session held at 11:30 AM on 21 November 2025 at the College Plaza, Shyama Prasad Mukherji College for Women (University of Delhi).

The session commenced with a floral tribute to Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherji, followed by the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolizing knowledge, progress, and new beginnings. The audience was then captivated by a compelling Nukkad Natak performed by the Navrang Dance Society on the themes of “Vocal for Local,” “Atmanirbhar Bharat,” and “Nari Shakti Vandan.”Principal Prof. Neelam Goel delivered the welcome address, applauding the powerful performance of the Navrang Society and acknowledging the dedicated efforts of its Convenor Dr. Rishiraj Pathak and Co-Convenor Dr. Bineet Kaur. She congratulated Team UDGAM and the Department of Commerce for successfully hosting the two-day expo.

Dr. Manish Kumar Singh, Convenor of the UDGAM Incubation Centre, presented the report of the Startup Expo. He shared that the event featured 27 student stalls, including 21 stalls from the college and 7 from other institutions. Additionally, 10 stalls from the Department of Education were part of the exhibition on Day 2. He acknowledged the exceptional contribution of 19 student volunteers who efficiently handled various responsibilities throughout the event.

Guest of Honour, Ms. Dhwani Jain, Social Entrepreneur and Founder of Karma Foundation, emphasized the need for creating strong avenues for budding women entrepreneurs and appreciated the commendable work undertaken by the UDGAM Incubation Centre in nurturing entrepreneurial talent among young women. Keynote Speaker, CA Anshul Kumar, explained the multi-layered process of building successful startups, highlighting the importance of education, ideation, training, acceleration, funding, promotion, and distribution. He encouraged students to identify opportunities in the areas of Swadeshi, Social Cohesion, Environmental Sustainability, Family Well-being, and Responsible Citizenship.

Guest of Honour, Prof. (Dr.) A. K. Singh, Joint Dean (Students' Welfare), University of Delhi, commended the organisers for inspiring young women to explore entrepreneurship as a promising career pathway beyond traditional employment after graduation.

At the conclusion of the session, entrepreneurial participants and volunteers were felicitated with certificates, acknowledging their dedication and enthusiasm. The programme ended with a Vote of Thanks presented by Dr. Rashmi Goel, Teacher-in-Charge, Department of Commerce. The session was anchored by Dr. Raviender Singh, while Dr. Arpit Kansal, Dr. Sidharth Chandel, and Dr. Abhinandan Pandey introduced the distinguished guests

*Grand Inauguration of Swavalambi 2025 Startup Expo*

The two-day “Swavalambi 2025 – The Startup Expo”, organized by the UDGAM Incubation Centre and the Department of Commerce at Shyama Prasad Mukherji College for Women (University of Delhi), was inaugurated today by distinguished guests with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting. The dignitaries also paid floral tribute to Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherji by garlanding his statue. The event commenced with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by a melodious rendition of the Saraswati Vandana by the Music Department.

Prof. Neelam Goel, Principal of the college, welcomed all guests and lauded the student-centric initiatives and innovative efforts undertaken by Dr.Manish Kumar Singh, Convenor of the UDGAM Incubation Centre, and his team.

Dr. Manish presented the annual achievements of the Centre and released the UDGAM Annual Prospectus along with the dignitaries. He urged students to contribute towards five key domains aligned with national development goals: Environmental Conservation, Promotion of Swadeshi and Atmanirbhar Bharat, Social Harmony & Community Development, Education & Skill Enhancement, and Technological Innovation & Startup Development in National Interest.

Delivering the keynote address, Dr. Rishi Mohan Bhatnagar, Global Business and Technology Leader, shared his experiences from the Reva Electric Car project. He emphasized that identifying societal needs at the right time and building innovation-driven startups is the pathway to success. He appreciated the Government of India’s robust support for the startup ecosystem and encouraged students to explore emerging trends to build impactful ventures.

Ms. Ranju Minhas, Educationist and Environmental Crusader, highlighted the rising role of women entrepreneurs globally and discussed their significant contribution to nation-building.

The inaugural session concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Ravinder Singh, while the stage was efficiently anchored by Dr. Shivani George.

An Orientation program on Implementing the UG Curriculum Framework (4th Year) was held for college faculties at Shyama Prasad Mukherji College for Women (University of Delhi) on 16th October 2025 in the Rajiv Gandhi auditorium of the college.

*Workshop on AI and Skill Integration Held at SPM College*

The Department of Computer Science at Shyama Prasad Mukherji College for Women (University of Delhi) organized a workshop on “The AI Revolution: Exploring Job Landscapes and Skill Integration”. The event aimed to explore how Artificial Intelligence is transforming careers and skill requirements across industries.

The workshop opened under the patronage of Prof. Sadhna Sharma ma’am, Principal of the College, who felicitated the invited speaker with a planter. In her address, she emphasized the importance of upskilling and reskilling to counter the fear of job loss due to AI and welcomed the speakers for providing deep insights into the evolving AI landscape.

The first session was delivered online by Mr. Dhruv Arora, Senior Software Engineer at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, USA, who shared technical and corporate perspectives on AI careers. Drawing from his extensive experience in building distributed systems and optimizing cloud platforms, he spoke on the technical and corporate aspects of AI careers. Mr. Arora highlighted the scale of AI applications in global enterprises, shared insights into industry expectations, and emphasized the importance of adaptability and continuous learning in technology-driven job markets.

The second session was conducted offline by Mr. Aman Kapoor, Senior AI Digital Marketing Trainer at IIDE, who highlighted practical applications of AI in digital marketing and emerging job roles. Focusing on practical applications of AI in digital marketing and emerging job roles, he demonstrated how AI tools are revolutionizing digital outreach, content personalization, and marketing analytics. He also discussed the rise of new roles in AI-powered industries and the skill sets young professionals must develop to remain future-ready.

The sessions were followed by an interactive Q&A with students and faculty, underscoring the need for interdisciplinary skills and ethical considerations in the age of AI.

The workshop concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Manish Kumar Singh, Convener, appreciating the Principal, Co-Convenor, TIC, student volunteers, non-teaching staff and enthusiasm of student participants for their contribution to the success of the event.

The SPMC (DU) Alumni Association of Shyama Prasad Mukherji College for Women (University of Delhi) in collaboration with UNNAYAN: The Civil Society, SPMC (W) and NEXT IAS, under the aegis of IQAC, SPMC (W), organized a special session titled “Civil Services: A Dream Unlocked” on 24th September 2025 at 11:30 AM. The event aimed to inspire and guide aspiring civil servants by providing insights into the journey, challenges, and strategies of successful candidates.

The program was held under the inspiring leadership of Prof. Sadhna Sharma, Principal, SPMC (W) as Patron, with the committed involvement of the Alumni Association and Civil Society members. We would like to thank all the teachers and students who came for the event, especially the NSS students and volunteers who showed up despite it being the NSS day.
