🦷𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬!

An '𝐎𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧' was organised for the non-teaching staff of the University in hybrid mode, conducted by Dr. Vartika Kathuria Monga, Community Dental Officer, GGSIPU. The session focused on simple yet essential oral care practices and encouraged participants to adopt healthier habits in their daily lives.

Live demonstrations and an interactive quiz made the session engaging and informative for everyone present. It also witnessed enthusiastic participation and highlighted the importance of coming together to promote a healthier and more aware university community.

It was a matter of immense pride for Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University to host an enriching dialogue on education reforms and the future of learning systems, bringing together distinguished voices from India and the United Kingdom.

The occasion marked the India launch of two significant books, “𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬: 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬 𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟎 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐖𝐚𝐬 𝐀𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐝” authored by 𝐒𝐢𝐫 𝐍𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐆𝐢𝐛𝐛, 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐔𝐊 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 and “𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫” by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐕𝐢𝐤𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐒𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐲, 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐓𝐚𝐱, 𝐌𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐢. Both works offered powerful insights into educational transformation, classroom delivery and the central role of teachers in shaping future societies.

The forum was further enriched by the gracious presence of 𝐒𝐦𝐭. 𝐒𝐦𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢 𝐙𝐮𝐛𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐢 𝐉𝐢, 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧, 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐫, 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐮𝐦 and 𝐒𝐡𝐫𝐢 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐊𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐥 𝐉𝐢, 𝐇𝐨𝐧’𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥, 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 (𝐂𝐀𝐈𝐓).

The discussions reflected a shared global concern of preparing young minds for a world where careers are changing rapidly, technology is redefining human interaction and education must move beyond information towards wisdom, innovation and character building.

I extend my sincere gratitude to the Women’s Collective Forum, Alliance for Global Good, the Legal Aid Centre of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, the organising committee and all distinguished guests for making this dialogue insightful, substantive and future-oriented.

I urge our students to rise beyond conventional aspirations, embrace lifelong learning and contribute with intellect, empathy and integrity towards nation-building.

Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune.

The Special Session on Health on “𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐬 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐟-𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐁𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭” emerged as an intellectually enriching confluence of distinguished academic leaders, visionary policymakers and thought leaders committed to shaping the future trajectory of higher education and healthcare in India.

I am profoundly delighted to share that Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University was awarded the 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐞 in the 𝐀𝐈𝐔 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 for presenting its institutional vision for Holistic Institutional Excellence through Innovation, Inclusion, Sustainability and Research.

I dedicate this recognition to the entire IPU fraternity, whose scholarly excellence and indefatigable efforts continue to elevate the stature of the University across the academic landscape.

Breaking silence. Challenging stigma. Creating awareness!!!

The University School of Liberal Arts organised an impactful HIV/AIDS Awareness Program that encouraged honest interaction between students and experts from the Delhi State AIDS Control Society (DSACS).

In a space free from judgment, students openly discussed myths, fears, stigma, safe choices, prevention and the importance of early testing. Through candid conversations, relatable examples and real-life insights, the session inspired young minds to become more aware, responsible, and empathetic towards building a stigma-free society.

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University continues to make its mark at the National Level as the University’s Men’s and Women’s Gatka Teams delivered an impressive performance at the 𝐀𝐈𝐔- 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫-𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐌𝐞𝐧 & 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐆𝐚𝐭𝐤𝐚 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, held at the University of Kota, Rajasthan.

The 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐓𝐰𝐨 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐳𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐥𝐬 while the 𝐌𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐓𝐰𝐨 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐥𝐬, reflecting the spirit of discipline, dedication and sporting excellence.

Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Padma Shri Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Verma met the medal winners, applauded their outstanding achievement and appreciated their commitment towards preserving and promoting the rich legacy of Gatka, the traditional Indian martial art form originating from Punjab.

A gathering of ideas, responsibility and vision, 'Yuva Kumbh' captured the true spirit of youth in nation-building.

Organised at our Dwarka Campus of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University on “राष्ट्र निर्माण में युवाओं की भूमिका”, the event brought forth a generation that is informed, articulate and conscious of its role in shaping India’s future.

The presence of distinguished dignitaries, including Prof. (Dr.) Ashok Kumar Nagawat, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University, Shri Prafulla Ketkar and Shri Pankaj Ji, added significant depth and direction to the discussions.

The commitment demonstrated by our NSS volunteers, guided by Prof. Varun Joshi and supported by faculty members, stands as a strong example of youth-led engagement. Their sustained work across adopted villages and community initiatives reflects the kind of grounded participation that strengthens society.

𝐆𝐮𝐫𝐮 𝐆𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐡𝐚 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 (𝐆𝐆𝐒𝐈𝐏𝐔) and 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 (𝐈𝐈𝐇𝐌𝐑) have formalised a strategic partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under the 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐋𝐊𝐈) initiative.

Aligned with the ‘𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡’ 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐈 𝐀𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐠’𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐒𝐒𝐌), the collaboration focuses on advancing evidence-based policy, capacity building and impactful healthcare research.

A step towards strengthening India’s public health ecosystem, this partnership integrates academic expertise with policy frameworks to drive stronger health systems and informed governance.
