Children have a major fear of making mistake while they are communicating, so a few language games can really help a child.

This is the reason why it's really important to communicate to your child about what you are doing while doing a particular activity etc.

As a young child, I remember sitting on my grandmother’s lap and listening to the most amazing stories of Rama and Raavana, of Krishna and Kansa, and the other Vishnu Avataaras. She also told me stories of Vikram and Betal.

We are fully aware that mythological stories at times pass on ideas which are very conventional. But we also need to understand that mythological stories have their own positive impact for children. So, Lok Stambh presents a few wisely selected and narrated stories from the series of Vikram and Betal.

Before you hop on to our YouTube channel to watch these stories let us put down a few reasons why you need to pick mythological stories for your child:

🌼It teaches them about our culture.

We believe that stories can be a good way to build conversation around issues which are wrongly portrayed in mythology.

🌼It teaches them about good and evil

With time we have understood that nobody is completely wrong or right, it's the circumstances which label them so. If we make our child understand this then it's a step towards creating a place where they don't disrespect anyone for their actions but they look for the reasons behind their actions and respect that.

🌼It unlocks their imagination

This needs no explanation as we know it for sure that mythological stories has a world of its own and one needs a lot of imagination to enter this world.

🌼It encourages curiosity

Curiosity is something we all want to foster in our children and we also know that children are curious beings by nature. So while narrating stories ask a lot of questions around the principles and decisions of the characters.

🌼It teaches them to respect others.

Mythology teaches kids to respect their elders, teachers, and peers. This leads to better discipline in children.
