PMI ACP Exam changing in 2024 🌐

Know the changes in 5 Points

1. New exam will be effective from 8th novermber-2024 (The last day to take the current exam is 7 November 2024.

2. One of the main updates is that the Disciplined Agile Senior Scrum Master (DASSM) certification content will be incorporated into the ACP exam

3. Expanding coverage of agile methodologies - current exam was more focused on scrum now the new exam will equally focus on lean, kanbam, xp and other agile methodologies

4. More focus would be on agile mindset, questions will be on it to assess your mindset and understanding

5 New exam will be based on latest trends and practices in the industries to ensure relevance for real world application.

If you are ACP aspirants then make sure to prepare exam keeping thsese changes in the mind.

The PMP certification is valid for 3 years from the date of certification.
you need to acquire 60 PDU's within 3 years in order to renew it.

if you fail to acquire required PDU's within 3 yrs, it will be suspended at end of 3rd years.

Further, at end of 4th year, your credential will be expired, and you will need to retake and pass the PMP exam to regain the certification.

PDU is stand for Professional development unit, it is a unit of measurement used to quantify the project management activities that a PMP certification holders participate to maintain their certification.

1 PDU = 1 hour of Activity (Ex. you can earn 1 PDU for attending 1 hour workshop)

PDU's can be earned through various developmental activities. They are broadly classified into two categories:

Education PDU's:
This is 1st category- in which you need 35 PDU’s - In this Learning activities that allow you to broaden your knowledge in one of the PMI Talent Triangle skill areas: Ways of Working, Power Skills, or Business Acumen.

It include-
- You can earn PDU's by attending Course or Training
- Organization Meeting- events or project meetings
- Online or Digital Media: Ex- webinar/podcast
- Read: Blog/books/Articles
- Informal Learning: Mentoring your team, shadowing, panel discussion etc.

Giving back PDU's:
This is 2nd category- in which you need to earn 25 PDU's.
It includes the Activities - like
- create content,
- Give Presentation
- Share Knowledge,
- Volunteer or
- Work as Practitioner so on.

So, Once you earn required PDU's, visit WWW.PMI.ORG.COM to claim it. you can submit your PDUs through the CCR system, which will verify and approve the activity.

Remember to keep track of your PDUs and report them to the PMI www.pmi.org.com to renew your PMP certification.

ensure you are keeping track of your credential and submitting it on or before renewal deadline in order to keep your certification in good standing.

PMI has announced the exam update, according to PMI website

The new CAPM certification exam will contain 4 domain areas:
1. Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts
2. Predictive Plan-Based Methodologies
3. Agile Frameworks/Methodologies
4. Business Analysis Frameworks

you will have 150 questions
1- 10 minutes break
Total time 3 hrs.

you can take exam either online or at physical exam centre.

You can take current format exam till 24 July.

New format exam will be effective from 25 July.

Please also note, the new CAPM certification exam will go beyond the PMBOK® Guide and will integrate content across project management including business analysis & agile principles.

So if you are CAPM Aspirants and into preparation already then take exam as early as possible.
