Chaturang Sangeet Sansthan stands on the legendary foundation of Gandharva Mahavidyalaya laid by Pt. Vinay Chandra Maudgalaya and Shri Vipin Chandra Maudgalaya along with their brother Shri Pramod Mudgal in New Delhi back in 1939.

Shri Anupam Mudgal and Smt. Indu Mudgal, who for decades dedicated themselves together to the teaching of Indian Classical Music and pioneering reforms for Music Education in the school curriculum, carried forward the legacy of music as Chaturang Sangeet Sansthan.

Chaturang is affiliated to Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Miraj and follows its core module providing courses in Indian Classical Music.
