In a strong judicial intervention, the Aurangabad Bench of the Bombay High Court has taken suo motu cognizance of distressing media reports about the illegal sale of drugs, ci******es, and e-ci******es outside schools and colleges in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (formerly Aurangabad). The court’s action was triggered by investigative articles published on June 14 and 16 by the Marathi daily Dainik Sakal.

A division bench consisting of Justices Ravindra V. Ghuge and Yanshivraj Khobragade expressed deep concern over how vulnerable and impressionable students are being drawn into using these harmful substances.
