As a parent, are you betraying your own child?

We often hear parents make these statements :

1. My child isn't focusing in classes 😔😔😔
2. I can't believe you are so slow in understanding this basic concept 😡😡😡
3. What do you mean you want to become an artist and not an engineer? 🙄🙄
4. They often create some sort of nuisance 🙄🙄🙄

At the core of all these issues, i realised lies not identifying the hidden potential of your own child. When this potential isn't realised they expend their energies in the wrong places.

What if :

1. Your child just drawing on the walls and scribbling in notebooks implies that they are creative and are looking for a form of expression 🎨🎭👨‍🎨
2. They often find opportunities to sneak to the field implies they might have a good talent for sports 🥎⛹️‍♂️⛹️‍♀️
3. They are singing those heavy rock songs loudly because they are just want someone to understand how they are feeling 👩‍🎤🎤
4. They hate maths because they are being made to learn under pressure and not because someone can rationalize out with them the 'why' behind learning 👩‍🔬🧑‍🔬

I can go on and on with the list. But often appreciation and encouragement goes a longer way than intimidation and humiliation :)
