About Sukhinder- He was the co-owner and founder of The Whisky Exchange, Sukhinder has been sourcing, buying, and selling rare whiskies since the 1980s.He established Old & Rare as an event for collectors and enthusiasts who share his passion for historic whisky. A preeminent on rare spirits, Sukhinder’s personal collection contains thousands of bottles, some of which are the only examples of their kind left in existence.

As I sit on the window seat, high above the earth, I am struck by a profound realization. Everything I hold dear, everything I identify with and cherish, is left behind. The people, the places, the things that make up my life are suddenly cut off from me, and I am left alone with my thoughts and the vast expanse of the sky.

As the plane soars higher, I look out of the window and see the world below shrinking, I am struck by the ephemeral nature of our existence. Like this flight, our time on this earth is limited, and we must seize every moment with gratitude and joy. As I gaze out the window from seat 1A, it hits me that the things we hold onto in life are temporary. Our material possessions and the attachments we form with others are fleeting, but the essence of who we are as individuals remains constant.

Our time on this earth is limited, but if we use it wisely, we can make a lasting impact on the world around us. The landing of the plane marks the end of one journey and the beginning of another. In much the same way, our departure from this world signifies the start of a new journey for our souls. This is a reminder that life and death are a part of a greater cycle, and our souls are eternal travellers on this journey.

For me, the window seat has become a sacred space. It is a place where I can reflect on the beauty and fragility of life. It has taught me to appreciate the journey, to embrace the impermanence of life, and to leave a lasting impact on the world around me.

So, the next time you find yourself on a plane, gazing out of the window, take a moment to reflect on your journey through life. Remember that everything in life is temporary, and it is up to us to make the most of the time we have. Cherish each moment, embrace the journey, and leave a lasting impact on the world around you.
