The “Jal Shakti Abhiyan: Catch the Rain” campaign, launched on 22nd March 2021, aims to
promote rainwater harvesting and water conservation. It focuses on mapping and inventory of
water bodies, scientific planning, establishment of Jal Shakti Kendras, afforestation, and
awareness generation. In continuation of these efforts, Jal Pakhwada is observed from 16th to 30th April, 2026 at Arunodaya Public School

(भारतीय भाषा उत्सव)

हमने अपने विद्यालय ‘अरुणोदय पब्लिक स्कूल’ में भारतीय भाषा उत्सव के अंतर्गत कई गतिविधियों का आयोजन किया| ‘भारतीय भाषा उत्सव’ महान तमिल कवि सुब्रह्मण्यम भारती के जन्मदिवस के अवसर पर पूरे देश में मनाया जाता है। भारतीजी भारत की भाषाई समृद्धि और सांस्कृतिक एकता के प्रतीक माने जाते हैं।सुब्रह्मण्यम भारती मानते थे कि भारत की शक्ति उसकी भाषाओं की विविधता में है।उनकी स्मृति में मनाया जाने वाला यह उत्सव—भारतीय भाषाओं के संरक्षण और संवर्धन को बढ़ावा देता हैविद्यार्थियों को बहुभाषीय भारत की पहचान से जोड़ता है|मातृभाषा और अन्य भारतीय भाषाओं के प्रति गर्व और सम्मान जगाता है| इस अवसर पर विद्यालय में विद्यार्थियों ने भाषा पेड़, कविता प्रकृति और पर्यावरण, पंजाब प्रांत में लोहड़ी पर्व पर गाया जाने वाला गीत,हिदी की प्रसिद्ध कहावतें, कहानी सुनाना आदि गतिविधियों में भाग लिया और विभिन्न क्षेत्रों के पारंपरिक भोजन के बारें में अन्य विद्यार्थियों को जानकारी प्रदान की |

Bharatiya Bhasha Utsav 2025 at APS!!!
Bhartiya Bhasha Utsav was celebrated to appreciate India’s rich linguistic diversity. Students wrote about different languages such as Tamil, Bangla, Kannada, and Hindi, recited short poems in various languages, showcasing beautiful regional expressions. Additionally, children explored the etymology of common words, learning how languages evolve. The activity encouraged cultural awareness, confidence, and respect for linguistic heritage.

Unity is Strength: A Multilingual Storytelling
Students shared one-liners on "Unity is Strength" in various languages, highlighting the power of unity. Languages included Hindi, English, Punjabi, Bengali, and Marathi. The event showcased the importance of unity, with messages like "United we stand, divided we fall" and "एकता में शक्ति है".
Children of class 1 wrote salutations in different languages.

International Yoga Day Celebration
On the occasion of International Yoga Day, APS organized a vibrant and enthusiastic celebration on 21st June. The event was held in the school premises and witnessed active participation from teachers, parents, and students.
It was held under the guidance of a trained yoga instructor . All the participants learned and performed various yoga asanas, pranayama, and meditation techniques. The teachers, parents, and students participated with great enthusiasm and energy. The school ground was filled with a sense of calm, unity, and discipline.
Special attention was given to basic yoga postures, suitable for all age groups. Students demonstrated the asanas, and everyone followed along. Parents appreciated the initiative and expressed interest in continuing yoga at home.
Overall, the Yoga Day celebration was a refreshing and enriching experience for everyone. It promoted awareness about the importance of physical and mental well-being and strengthened the bond between the school and the parent community.
