Workshops and Interactive Sessions at India International Science Festival
In India, the culture of research development and analysis and scientific documentation at graduation and post graduation education system is almost absent. Nevertheless, researchers face tremendous problems during their early years of research in communicating, structuring, design and writing of research paper, review paper and even in submitting the research proposal. Most of these issues along with how to protect intellectual property, how to submit project proposal to the funding agencies and interactions with the successful entrepreneurs as well as people working on area specific research areas of India will be addressed through workshops and interactive sessions in the India International Science Festival. Renowned scientists, professors and agency representatives will be invited for the workshops and interactive sessions. The details are as follows:

Workshops:
1. a How to write a research paper
b How to write a review paper
c How to draft a research project proposal
2 How to protect intellectual property Interactive Sessions:
1. Interaction with techno entrepreneurs
2. Discussion on Government's Central Research Facilities
3. Discussion on region specific research areas of India

Scientific temper is fundamental to innovation. It is an attitude of mind to scientific methods influencing the way we think and approach our problems. This attitude must be nurtured and promoted to achieve greater heights as a people and as a country. It is pertinent here to recall Section V of our Constitution, Article 51A on ‘Fundamental Duties’ that begins by saying: “It shall be the duty of every citizen of India…” In the enumeration of such duties, sub-clause (h) says: “To develop the scientific temper, humanism and the spirit of inquiry and reform”. Hence fostering scientific temper is considered much more relevant today than any other time in the past. Diffusion of science and technology into societal fabric at all levels is required, so that it would foster scientific temper among the people and give rise to a rational attitude.

Vijnana Bharati and the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, areorganizing ‘India International Science Festival (IISF)’ from 4th to 8th December 2015. The festival aims to provide a platform to young scientists from all over the country to share and spread their scientific ideas, achievements and inventions. Visit www.iisfdelhi.org

Young people are the innovators, creators, builders and leaders of the future. Youth can transform the future only if they have the required skills, health, decision-making abilities and real choices in life. The Young Scientists’ Conference targeted to scientists up to the age of 45 years from all over the country is an effort to provide them an opportunity to showcase their research and achievements. The event would also be effective in promoting scientists-students interactions. Best technical papers, preferably one from each sub-theme, adjudged by a team of juries would qualify for awards as incentives. Visit www.iisfdelhi.org
