International Conference: Women’s Agency and Knowledge Production – Reclaiming Socio-Religious Frameworks in Contemporary Discourse
The Department of Women Education, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), Hyderabad, and the Centre for Study and Research (CSR), New Delhi, are co-organising an international conference on January 29–30, 2026, at MANUU, Hyderabad. This event rethinks women’s roles as active agents in intellectual and socio-religious life.
The conference challenges modern discourses that often reduce women to limiting binaries—either as passive subjects bound by tradition or as figures liberated solely through secular frameworks. It seeks to reclaim women’s contributions as dynamic forces in sustaining and transforming socio-religious and intellectual traditions.
