Everyone wishes for growth this time of year.
Ours is different.
We wish for fewer preventable deaths.
For decisions guided by evidence.
For communities heard before crises begin.
Because when public health works, no one notices.
And that’s exactly how it should be.

Remember how we promised — “never again”?
Never again underfunded surveillance.
Never again scrambling for PPE.
Never again misinformation outrunning medicine.
Four years later, the world looks different.
But viruses don’t forget. And they don’t wait.
International Day of Epidemic Preparedness is our annual reminder that memory is short, but consequences aren’t.
Preparedness is not about fear.
It’s about foresight.
About strengthening systems before they’re tested.
About acting early, so communities don’t have to suffer later.
Did we learn enough?
Or are we simply hoping for luck?

Some problems are too big for one sector to solve alone.
At a recent national summit on durable carbon removal, we spent time listening, learning, and exchanging ideas with policymakers, scientists, industry leaders, and civil society voices working to shape India’s climate future. Conversations moved beyond ambition—to the hard questions of integrity, monitoring, financing, and what responsible scale really looks like.
What stayed with us most was the shared urgency:
‼️If India is to play a meaningful role in global carbon removal, solutions must be credible, transparent, and rooted in local realities.‼️
Moments like these remind us why collaboration matters—not for headlines, but for outcomes that last.

The Australia Awards Symposium in Kolkata was nothing short of inspiring.
A powerful gathering of mid-career health professionals, researchers, and policymakers — united to strengthen evidence-based, culturally grounded interventions for India’s tribal communities.
From impactful project presentations to thought-provoking keynote addresses and a heartfelt graduation ceremony, the week highlighted what true collaboration can achieve.
Here’s a glimpse of the moments that moved us — and the ideas that will shape equitable healthcare for years to come.
