I join the nation in warmly welcoming Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla on his return to Earth from his historic mission to space. As India’s first astronaut to visit the International Space Station, his courage, dedication, and pioneering spirit have inspired a billion dreams.

During his time aboard the ISS, he contributed to groundbreaking research on microgravity’s effects on human physiology and conducted key experiments that will advance space medicine and technology back home.

His achievements mark a proud and significant milestone on India’s journey toward its own Human Spaceflight Mission — Gaganyaan.
