In the midst of the 18th General Election in India, our students chose their Class Representative for Classes 5-11. They followed the electoral procedures which is followed in the country and recreated the same in ‘Chunav ka parv, School ka garv’.

Best wishes to our prefects as they carry the school community forward this year. A small celebration was organised in school to celebrate this milestone achievement.
The first day in school for our children of Foundation, was marked with excitement. The parents and children posed for photographs and the children enjoyed themselves in the Playroom, Jhoola Badi, dancing, singing and painting.
An Orientation for the parents of Foundation was held on Wednesday, 10th April 2024. The meeting was filled with warmth and excitement as parents connected with the leadership team of the school over coffee. They were led to the classes, where the teachers spoke about the plan for the year. From setting goals to understanding routines, it was a fruitful session.
Students of Class 5 visited the Thomson Press - One of Asia’s largest commercial printing press. From marvelling at cutting-edge machines to learning about paper, inks, and the art of bookbinding, our curious minds were in awe. Children admired their commitment to zero wastage by recycling waste paper. A big thank you to the amazing staff for guiding us through the printing process with patience and expertise.
The English Showcase was held on Friday, 1st March, 2024. Our students brought literature to life with their creativity and passion. From emulating iconic characters to setting up informative and interactive stalls based on the texts they learnt this year, they took us on an incredible journey to celebrate English Literature and Language. A gallery was set up to showcase students’ work for this academic year. From posters to opinion pieces, the gallery was a testament to our students’ learnings and passion for writing.
The National Science Day was celebrated in Vasant Valley School with great enthusiasm. A week of activities in various aspects of Science culminated on Wednesday, 28th February 2024. An Inter-House Science quiz, a talk on Bioacoustics by an eminent professor of Environmental Science- Prof. Swati Diwakar was organised. Our budding scientists from class 5 to 9 displayed their experiments and models, and explained the scientific principles behind them.
Students from classes 3 to 8 presented their skills at the Mathematics Showcase on February 23rd. From inventive games to mind-bending teasers, the event featured a range of activities curated by our talented students. Highlights included rapid calculations, thought-provoking riddles, Mathemagic, and a collaborative Rangoli created by students from the special section. The event offered an engaging experience for parents, grandparents, and the school community, promoting inclusivity and holistic development.
Students of classes 5-7 students embarked on an incredible hands-on immersive learning experience on Friday, February 23rd. They were guided by a dynamic team from Pune that transformed simple materials into captivating toys while learning concepts in Physics. From discovering the wonders of light reflection to unraveling the magic of concave and convex mirrors. The students also delved into the realms of potential energy, alternating current vs. direct current and electromagnetic inductions! Not only did our students have a blast experimenting, but our teachers were equally captivated by the immersive learning journey!
On 22nd February, 2024 the children of Foundation to Class 2 took part in the Junior School Track and Field Meet. They enjoyed an exciting day under the sun wearing their house T-shirts. They participated in unique races and cheered for their parents who took part in the Parents race.
The students of Class 3 went on a ‘Dilli Darshan’. They soaked in the rich cultural heritage of our city. A walk around the Qutub Complex gave the children a first hand experience of the splendour and complexity of its history.
It was followed by a windshield tour through the streets of Delhi, helping them catch a glimpse of the iconic Red Fort and the magnificent buildings of Lutyens’ Delhi. The trip ended with a picnic at Nehru Park which was the cherry on the cake.
The students of classes Foundation to Class 8 welcomed Ellie (A Robotic, Educational Animatronic Elephant) to Vasant Valley School with great enthusiasm.
This is an initiative by PETA India to help the students develop empathy for animals. The real-life experiences shared during the presentation increased our understanding of the challenges these magnificent creatures face but also inspired a sense of responsibility to contribute towards their well-being. Ellie’s story resonated deeply with the students, leaving a lasting impression.
‘Clay in Common’ is a community project that fuses individual and collective creativity.
A ceramics workshop was conducted by Mr Reyaz Badaruddin and Ms Élodie Alexandre for the students of class 5. It was a great learning experience as well as a proud moment for our students to be a part of this initiative.
The final art installation which was a collaborative display of creations of over 100 artist including art work of our students was shown at the Indian Art Fair 2024, NSIC exhibition ground in Okhla, New Delhi.
The 34th Inter House Track & Field Meet, was held on Friday, 9th February 2024. Meera Ghosh, Reyansh Poddar, and Mannat Sikka were titled Athletes of the Year! And Yellow House emerged the winner! A big congratulations and thank you to all participants and spectators who made the day memorable for us all.
The Vasant Valley School team comprising Vivaswat Rastogi, Shashwat Rastogi, and Vivan Garg clinched the Overall winner trophy at the Delhi Hackathon with their innovative e-solution for waste management. Two Vasant Valley School teams made it to the final 16 of the Senior category out of over 500 entries from schools across the state at the Delhi Hackathon, India’s first state level Hackathon organised in conjunction with IIT Delhi.
The students of classes 2-5 presented their understanding of various Life Science concepts through vibrant performances, an interactive quiz and showcased their art work on Plastic management.
Suvarna Raj is a prolific Paralympian with over 150 medals for India, she is not only a remarkable athlete but also a passionate advocate for disability rights. Beyond her sporting achievements, she dedicates herself to promoting accessible public infrastructure, having conducted over 500 access audits as part of the Indian government’s Accessible India Campaign. Suvarna’s resilience and success story left an indelible mark on students of classes 6-8, inspiring them to persevere through challenges. We thank Suvarna ma’am for the enlightening session in disability awareness!

The students of Class 11 were introduced to the sights, colours, smells and sounds of Old Delhi while discovering Chandi Chowk on the 18th of December, 2023. As they strolled through the lively lanes of the Walled City, they embraced the diversity of our historical city and its multi-layered culture - an experience of a lifetime!
Celebrating Rhythmic Brilliance - Inter-House Dance Competition 2023. The event was a testament to the students’ exceptional talents, igniting the stage with electrifying performances. Enthusiasm filled the air as participants from each house poured their hearts into their performances, creating a spirited atmosphere. The competition was fierce, showcasing the dedication and creativity of every house. Ultimately Green House emerged as the winner. Congratulations to every participant and thank you for making it a memorable experience for all!
Enlightening session on Cyber Security by Dr. Raksh*t Tandon at the Vasant Valley School Tech Talk! Grateful for the eye-opening insights into online safety, data protection, and navigating the digital world.
The Social Science Showcase for classes 6-8 was an exciting event that combined our world with interactive games, history and geography challenges and monument trivia. Participants were in for a thrilling experience of learning and fun. This showcase not only provided an educational experience but also ensured that participants had a blast while learning. Through captivating storytelling and powerful performances, the audience were encouraged to question societal norms and embrace a more open-minded perspective.
Zehn Kashyap a student of Grade 11, delivered her second TEDx talk at Billabong High International School, Kanpur on the "Transformative Power of Using Your Voice".
She spoke of the importance of using ones voice for causes that one believe in and thereby using your privilege to pay it forward to those not as fortunate as youself.
Her message of Get Up! Stand Up And most importantly, Speak Up in order to be the change YOU want to see; was extremely well received by the audience who gave her a standing ovation as she passionately advocated on the iconic Red Circle of the TEDx.
Children of class 4 visited the Taj Mahal and other historical monuments in Agra to gain a hands-on experience and a deeper understanding about them. They visited Itmad-ud Daullah tomb - an inspiration behind the Taj Mahal, the Agra Fort for its historical significance and the iconic Taj Mahal itself. Exploring these monuments not only enhanced their knowledge of history and architecture but also allowed them to connect with the rich cultural heritage of our country.
The enthusiastic engagement of the children made the trip both educational and enjoyable, contributing to a well-rounded educational experience.
