The Free Trade Agreement will help Indian workers who go to the UK temporarily (for work), and their employers will not have to pay social security taxes in the UK for up to 3 years. Normally, both the employee and employer must contribute a part of the salary to the UK’s social security system. This will lead to huge savings — about 20% of the employee’s salary, and more than 60,000 Indian IT sector employees are expected to benefit from this.
The implementation of these developments can take one year to execute, depending on how both countries complete these steps.
