We often manipulate ourselves without being aware of it. While we manipulate others to get what we want, manipulating ourselves does the contrary because it holds us back from achieving our goals.

Yes I do feel the same thing. I know how to rephrase this. I know how to make my anger calm. I know how to put my anxiety on a low mode. I know how to care about myself without looking up to the situation with the fear lens. I know how to Over extend my apathy. I know how to balance my feelings with my needs.

This is when you are just too overwhelmed, confused, depressed or downright scared to talk. People will ask you to articulate how you feel - your therapist, your partner, your friends, your family or co-workers but you just can't. Not at that point. When you get to that point, don't worry about saying, "Sorry, but I can't do that right now.' You may need some quiet time, you
may need them to talk instead or you may need a hug or something
else. You don't have to know how you feel and be able to express it
at any particular time.
