Today was all about tool usage, de-weeding, hand tilling, sowing and mulching.
Simple practices that change how we grow food — and how we relate to the land.

We began with the soil today — learning how healthy food starts with healthy ecosystems beneath our feet.
We observed, we made compost from scratch, and we loved getting our hands dirty. What a beautiful day to reclaim our connection with the land!

Spring has sprung.....
Looking forward to another year of joy, abundance, resilience and gratitude.
Keeping up the spirit and hopes high.
This method of opening water channels to the land brings in the minerals to the soil and keeps the land moist for a longer period.
We usually would use this method in cases of drought situations or delayed monsoons. 3-4 times a year takes care of our farms water requirements.
Nowadays convenient tap water takes over but this system of irrigation also ensures higher nutritional value to the land and crops. Along with a longer period of moisture retention.
After the day's mehnat (hardwork) we are all in the state of anandam...!!
