This New Year, my resolution is simple:
choosing my self-worth; every single day. Choosing peace over people-pleasing, boundaries over burnout, growth over guilt.

2026 is about honoring who I am, without apology. 🌱💫

When we help someone view themselves through a kinder, braver lens, we don’t just change their mindset: “we transform their entire journey.”

Be the reason someone believes in possibility again.

A little positivity can rewrite a life.

When spoken to a child, they settle quietly in the heart and grow into confidence, courage, and self-belief.

A gentle “You can do it,”
a patient “Try again,”
or a simple “I’m proud of you”
can rebuild what fear once broke and reshape the way a child sees themselves.

Children carry our words long after the moment has passed.

They repeat them in their minds during challenges,
lean on them during mistakes,
and rise stronger because someone believed in them.

Speak kindness.

You’re not just guiding a child;
you’re shaping the person they will become.

Sometimes it’s not the grand actions that stay with us… it’s the tiny gestures; a message, a smile, a call, a reminder - the little things that quietly carry the biggest emotions.

Because hearts don’t measure size… they measure sincerity.

Teachers’ Day: Honoring Every Teacher in Life

Teachers’ Day is not just about classrooms, it’s about every lesson and every guide who shapes us. From the alphabets we first learn to the life lessons carved by challenges, teachers come in many forms.

Academic teachers build our foundation, while parents instill values that stay for life. Friends and colleagues teach us collaboration; children remind us of curiosity and wonder. Mentors, coaches, and even strangers often leave behind wisdom that lights our path. And life itself, through both triumphs and failures….is the teacher that never stops.

This Teachers’ Day, let us celebrate not only educators but also every person and experience that has helped us grow.

“A teacher is anyone who awakens growth in us—sometimes with chalk, sometimes with silence, and often with love.”

Shloka 1.1 of Bhagvan Gita:

धृतराष्ट्र उवाच:
धर्मक्षेत्रे कुरुक्षेत्रे समवेता युयुत्सवः |
मामकाः पाण्डवाश्चैव किमकुर्वत सञ्जय ||

Translation- King Dhritarashtra said: “O Sanjaya, assembled in the holy land of Kurukshetra and desirous of battle, what did my sons and the sons of Pandu do?”

The spiritual compass of humanity, begins with a question, a simple yet profound one. It is composed of a broader perspective as well as lesson for both, Teachers and students:

This verse teaches educators the power and responsibility of perspective.

Dhritarashtra refers to his sons as-“mamakaḥ”, that means “mine” and the “Pandavas” simply as “Paṇḍavaḥ”, not acknowledging them as kin.

This subtle bias is a caution for teachers to be fair, inclusive, and neutral in classrooms. Personal attachments or favoritism should never cloud our judgment or approach towards students.

For students, this shloka encourages mindfulness before any action. The battle of Kurukshetra represents life’s challenges. Just like the warriors chose their actions mindfully on the field, kids too must think before reacting, whether in academics, friendships, or emotions. It also introduces them to the idea that learning and choices must be rooted in “dharma” i.e. righteousness.

The Gita doesn’t just narrate war, it teaches inner peace, fairness, and wisdom. And its very first verse reminds us…. before every action, question your intention.

Let’s bring this awareness into our classrooms and homes where real learning begins!

Kurukshetra was never just a battlefield, it was a ground where the soul was summoned to awaken. Amid the dust of dharma and adharma, when illusion, attachment, and fear cast their shadow, a divine voice rose — the voice of the Bhagavad Gita, posing a question to every being:“Will you stand for truth?” This poem reflects the vision of Sanjay, not just the power to see from afar, but the ability to perceive with inner awareness. His eyes captured more than war; they witnessed the awakening of consciousness. The first verse of the Gita is not merely an introduction. It is the spark that ignites inner reflection. It marks the beginning of a spiritual dialogue, not between two warriors, but between the self and the soul. Dharma does not reside only in temples or scriptures; it rises from within, wherever the battle of choices begins. And that is where Kurukshetra truly lies not outside us, but within.Where the soul is questioned, the Gita begins.Where the inner conflict arises, Dharma Kshetra is born. ✍🏻 Written by – Albatross Ancient Mariner

Learning through play is an educational approach where children acquire knowledge and skills while engaging in enjoyable and interactive activities. Rather than traditional, structured lessons, this method allows children to explore concepts naturally through games, imaginative play, and hands-on experiences. It not only makes education fun but also deeply integrates learning with children's natural interests and abilities.

It's a powerful and natural way to support a child's growth and development. When children engage in play, they are not just having fun—they are also acquiring crucial skills that contribute to their overall development.

1. Cognitive Development: Play stimulates cognitive growth by encouraging problem-solving and critical thinking. Activities like building blocks or playing with puzzles help children develop their reasoning abilities and understanding of spatial relationships. This hands-on learning approach often leads to deeper comprehension and retention of concepts.

2. Social Skills: Through interactive play, children learn to navigate social dynamics. Whether they are sharing toys, negotiating rules, or collaborating on a game, they develop essential social skills such as communication, empathy, and teamwork. These experiences are vital for building positive relationships and understanding others' perspectives.

3. Emotional Growth: Play provides a safe space for children to express their emotions and practice self-regulation. Imaginative play, for example, allows children to explore different roles and scenarios, helping them manage their feelings and understand their own and others' emotional responses.

4. Physical Development: Active play enhances physical skills such as coordination, balance, and strength. Activities like running, climbing, and playing sports contribute to fine and gross motor skills, which are crucial for overall physical health and development.

5. Creativity and Imagination: Play fosters creativity by allowing children to experiment, invent, and explore new ideas. Engaging in pretend play or artistic activities helps them develop their imagination, which is linked to problem-solving and innovative thinking.

Incorporating play into learning helps create a more engaging and effective educational experience. It’s important to recognize that play is not just a break from learning but an integral part of the educational process. By embracing play-based learning, we can support children in developing a range of skills that will benefit them throughout their lives.
