🌍✨ El Abanico 2026 | United for Peace ✨🌍
DPS International, under the aegis of The DPS Society, proudly organised El Abanico 2026 — an Inter-School Spanish Language Festival on 13 May 2026, celebrating the beauty of the Spanish language, the richness of Hispanic culture, and the timeless values of peace, harmony, and global unity. 🕊️🇪🇸
With the inspiring theme “United for Peace,” the festival brought together 16 prestigious schools from Delhi & NCR and over 200 talented students for a day filled with creativity, collaboration, and cultural exchange. Through competitions across Arts, Digital, Literary, and Cultural categories, students showcased exceptional talent in Art, Language Mélange, Song, Poetry, Character Conversations, Photography, and Digital Presentations — each reflecting the importance of unity in today’s world. 🎨📚🎶💻
The event came alive with spectacular presentations celebrating Hispanic culture through vibrant dance, soulful music, expressive poetry, and dramatic performances that captivated every heart. 🩵
We were deeply honoured by the gracious presence of H.E. Dr. Victor Hugo Echeverri Jaramillo, Ambassador of Colombia to India, as Chief Guest; Dr. Elena García Torres Medina, Education Advisor, Embassy of Spain, as Guest of Honour; and Dr. Gaurav Kumar, Professor at JNU and President of APEI, as Special Guest, alongside esteemed members of The DPS Society leadership.
A special gesture of encouragement came from the Embassies of Colombia and Chile, whose thoughtful contributions of books, stationery, and Pablo Neruda’s masterpiece poetry collection further enriched the spirit of learning and cultural appreciation. 📖✨
El Abanico 2026 was more than a festival — it was a powerful platform where young voices embraced diversity, celebrated global cultures, and strengthened the message that peace begins with understanding. 🌎❤️
