We have already discussed the Major Chord progressions and the endless possibilities of mix and match. Here is how we can also look at chord progressions from their relative minor. For eg ABCDEFGA the A natural minor is the relative minor of C major as in CDEFGABC
Major progressions sound happier but then again, it is possible to write a sad song using a Major key or funk on minor keys. Major key ending with the relative minor is an indication that it’s in a minor key. Major keys mostly end on major chords. However anything can happen so try to work your way around it. In music we have basic guidelines but it’s not always necessary to follow them all. It is upto us to figure out a way to accommodate them in any way we like as long as it sounds good.
