The first batch of Cyber Commando training programme commenced at NFSU Goa Campus. This six-month residential course aims to enhance LEAs capabilities to respond to Cyber incidents and strengthen their capabilities to tackle Cybercrimes.

The faculty from NFSU Goa had the privilege of attending a One Week Cybercrime Investigation Training Course on “Open-Source Intelligence, Virtual Assets, and Digital Evidence,” organized by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). The event was held from 15-19 July 2024
This training was an incredible opportunity for us to deepen our understanding of the latest trends and techniques in cybercrime investigation.

NFSU Goa celebrated World Environment Day on 05.06.2024 with a special tree plantation drive at the campus. The faculty and staff planted various ornamental plants and fruit trees with great enthusiasm towards a greener future.

Three days workshop on “Crime Scene Management in view of the three new Criminal Laws” commenced at NFSU Goa for the Goa Police on 30.05.2024. About three hundred Goa Police officers will be trained on Forensic & Crime Scene Management.

NFSU Goa organized a workshop "Multimedia Forensics for Crime Investigation" on 02.03.24 where Dr. Ivan Siparov, Chief Foresic Officer, Ministry of Justice, Russia, enlightened the audience on digital evidence & intelligence gathering. The workshop also trained participants in data recovery and cctv forensics.

It was an honor to serve as part of the judging committee at the Vimarsh 5G Hackathon, organized by the Department of Telecommunications (SRI unit) and Telecom Centre of Excellence, in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs and Bureau of Police Research and Development. Held at the 5G TestBedSite at IIT Madras, the event showcased innovative PoC demos developed by startups and institutions. Witnessing the potential of 5G to empower law enforcement agencies was a truly enriching experience.

NFSU Goa Campus successfully concluded a four-day training program - 'Forensic Aspects of Fire and Arson Investigation' for ONGC fire officers from different Assets of ONGC Ltd. The program emphasized different aspects of forensic investigation in accidental fire or arson cases.
