NTA will be conducting Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for admission in Undergraduate programs from this year - academic session 2022-23 - in all UGC funded Central Universities in 13 languages namely Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Urdu, Assamese, Bengali, Punjabi, Odia and English by the National Testing Agency.
The CUET may also be adopted by the State/Private/Deemed to be Universities.

At last, Uttar Pradesh has also provided Professor Scale (Level-14) to all Associate Professors (Level-13A) of government & aided colleges under state higher education deptt. w.e.f. 1 November 2021.
Welcome step in UP, but quite late - UGC had notified this in July 2018 itself. And neighbouring Uttarakhand notified this provision in 2016 itself.
