A disturbing incident has been reported at Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH), where a doctor was allegedly assaulted by a patient’s attendant. The doctor reportedly sustained injuries to the head and neck, with significant bleeding following the attack.
Doctors and healthcare workers should never have to fear violence while treating patients.
Violence inside hospitals is NOT acceptable. Those responsible must face strict action, and hospital authorities must strengthen security measures to protect doctors, residents, nurses and other healthcare staff.
A safe hospital is essential for both patients and healthcare workers.
