⚖️ Supreme Court Redefines District Judge Eligibility!
In a landmark decision, the Supreme Court Constitution Bench has held that a judicial officer with a combined 7 years of experience as an advocate and a judge can apply for direct recruitment as a District Judge under Article 233.
To ensure a level playing field, the Court also set a minimum age of 35 years for both advocates and in-service judicial officers.
Earlier rulings, from Satya Narain Singh to Dheeraj Mor, were declared incorrect in law, making this a major clarification in judicial appointment eligibility.
