Turquoise Early Years A Thoughtful Approach to Early Learning

Because caring for our children begins with caring for those who nurture them every day. ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’—

At Turquoise, our community extends far beyond classroom walls to the families who anchor our little learners. We had the privilege of hosting renowned Gynecologist Dr. Arthi Luthra for an open, heartfelt conversation centered on womenโ€™s health, preventive care, and well-being.

Between routines, work, and caring for everyone else, mothers often find themselves at the bottom of their own priority list. This session was created as a gentle pauseโ€”a safe, comfortable space to ask honest questions, share experiences, and remember that choosing oneโ€™s own health is never secondary.

A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Arthi Luthra for bringing such warmth, clarity, and depth to this dialogue, and to every mother who joined us to listen, learn, and choose herself. โœจ

Books and stories introduce children to firefighters, but nothing compares to standing beside a real fire engine, hearing how the gear works, and meeting the brave individuals who protect our community every day. ๐Ÿš’๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿš’

Our learners stepped out of the classroom for an experiential visit to the local fire station. From exploring the fire truck and trying on protective helmets to feeling the rush of the water hose during a live demonstration, the children got to experience community helpers up close.

At Turquoise, field visits are never just sightseeingโ€”they are opportunities for children to observe, ask real questions, and connect what they learn with the world around them.

Konnichiwa from Japan! ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ตAfter setting sail earlier this week, the Turquoise Liner docked for Day 2 of our World Tourism Day journey. From paper fans and cherry blossoms to stepping into traditional attire, our learners spent the day experiencing Japanese culture firsthand. Through immersive play, they practiced greetings, observed new customs, and discovered the beauty of traditions different from their own. When children experience the world with all their senses, learning goes beyond textbooks, it builds open minds and genuine empathy.

Why do we love to travel?

Perhaps because somewhere between leaving the familiar and discovering the unknown, we learn to see the worldโ€”and ourselvesโ€”with new eyes.

Travel invites curiosity. It introduces us to new cultures, stories, landscapes, languages and ways of living. For children especially, it turns learning into an experience they can touch, feel, imagine and remember.

At Turquoise, we brought this spirit of exploration to life through our Immersive Turquoise Cruise Experienceโ€”where our little travellers boarded a make-believe ship and set sail from India to Japan. ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿšข๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต

This World Tourism Day, we celebrate the curious traveller in every child. Sometimes, you donโ€™t need to travel far to discover the world. You simply need the
freedom to imagine.

All aboard the Turquoise Cruise!

This week at Turquoise Early Years was all about an immersive travel experience built around a make-believe cruise to Japan.

While the preparation began on Monday with packing lists, issuing of pretend-passports and boarding passes, the experience began with our little travellers boarding the โ€˜Turquoise Linerโ€™ and setting off.

These immersive, make-believe experiences are more than playโ€”they help children imagine, communicate, build confidence, explore new roles and connect learning with real life. This is how at Turquoise, experiential learning comes alive!

Creativity grows when weโ€™re free to wonder.

At Turquoise, children are encouraged to ask โ€œWhat if?โ€ to explore without fear of getting it wrong, to make mistakes, and to try again.
Creativity doesnโ€™t begin with talent. It begins with curiosity, freedom, and the courage to explore.

For young children, learning becomes more meaningful when classroom ideas connect with the real world. ๐ŸŒฑ

After learning how a tiny seed grows into roots, stems, leaves and flowers, our little learners stepped into the garden to see it for themselves.

Moving from concepts to real experiences helps children observe, understand and connect their learning with the world around them. Sometimes, a simple garden can become the most powerful classroom.

Math is often taught as something children simply need to get right. But what if, long before finding the right answer, we gave them a chance to explore?

As part of our teacher training and professional development, our educators recently participated in an interactive Jodo Gyan workshop.

Stepping away from traditional workbooks and rigid formulas, the session focused on tactile, play-based materialsโ€”the real tools from which deep mathematical thinking can emerge. By experiencing these tools firsthand, our educators continue to refine how we nurture curiosity, logical reasoning, and a genuine love for learning in our classrooms.
