A UN study of 57 countries estimates just 11% of r**e and s*xual assault cases worldwide are ever reported. But rights workers say that these figures are not an accurate representation of the scale of the problem, specially in India, as many attacks are not reported due to the stigma surrounding s*x crimes.

Stop blaming and shaming the victim. Professional counselling is an integral part of the healing process. We are appalled at the lack of sensitivity shown by these school authorities.
