Learning with Joy - PYDS Learning Academy

PYDS Learning Academy shares a delightful reflection on Sunday School, where learning goes beyond textbooks and becomes an experience filled with curiosity, participation, and joy. The students look forward to each session, enjoying stories, discussions, activities, and opportunities to share their thoughts.
Sunday School shows that meaningful learning can be fun and engaging. Through interactive sessions, students develop vocabulary, confidence, thinking skills, and the habit of reflection. It is a space where children learn together, express themselves freely, and discover that every lesson can bring a new idea, question, or insight.
The reflection beautifully captures the spirit of joyful learning—when children enjoy learning, they learn with greater curiosity, confidence, and purpose.

Cedric Serpes comes from the Advertising Industry with 25 years as a creative practitioner. He now teaches full-time at GIM. His areas of speciality: Creativity, Innovation and Advertising Communication (IMC). He is also a published Indo-Anglian poet and songwriter/singer.
This anthem was created out of love for the nation, and we all will share this love on this 79th Independence Day.
Happy 79th Independence Day, Bharat.
An anthem for our times by Cedric Serpes (and Meenakshi Chellam)
Cedric is a friend, and Sunil Malhotra shared it with love for My Good School and # JoyOfLearning.
“Anthem” title gives the video a prestigious, high-production feel. The sweeping landscape connects directly to the lyrics about the “freezing north” and “deepest south,” immediately signalling the song’s scale and emotional weight to the viewer.
An emotionally charged close-up dominated by a diverse group of hands joined together in the lower half of the frame. Above them, Cedric is shown with a soulful, hopeful smile, looking toward a bright future. The background uses a soft-focus bokeh effect with the colours of the Indian flag (saffron, white, and green).
A modern “Authority Anchor” layout where Cedric is positioned on the right third of the frame, making direct, welcoming eye contact. Large, bold gold typography reading “THE ANTHEM” is partially layered behind him to create a 3D effect. The background is a clean, blurred studio setting that makes the subject and text pop.
Professor Cedric Serpes is an academic, innovation strategist, musician, and writer who currently serves as a Professor of Practice at various national institutes in India. He specialises in teaching Creativity and Imagination in the Age of AI, Creative Writing, and Advertising Communication.

Learning, Collaboration and a Step Towards Change
It was a privilege to be a part of the Financial Literacy and Food Literacy Workshop organised by the Good Schools Alliance (GSA) at Taurian World School, Ranchi. For me, the workshop was not just another professional engagement; it was an opportunity to learn, share experiences and connect with educators who are equally committed to bringing meaningful change through education.
I sincerely appreciate the vision of GSA in creating such platforms where teachers and educationists can learn directly from experienced professionals. The sessions on financial and food literacy were extremely relevant to the needs of our students and society today. They gave us practical insights that can be carried back to our schools and shared with our students.
My heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Sandeep Dutt and Ms. Amrita Burman for bringing educators together and giving us this valuable opportunity to learn and collaborate. I would also like to acknowledge the efforts of Mr. Surya Kant Sharma, Senior Consultant, Association of Mutual Funds in India, and Mr. Divyanshu Prakash, Deputy Manager, Eastern Region, FSSAI. Their knowledge, clarity and practical approach made both sessions highly engaging and useful.
My sincere thanks to Mr. Gautam Choudhary, Executive Director, Taurian World School, for warmly hosting the workshop and providing such a conducive environment for learning and interaction. I also appreciate Mr. Kunal Rajpurohit for taking care of the arrangements and ensuring that everything required for the workshop was well managed.
Such initiatives remind us that education extends far beyond classrooms and textbooks. Financial awareness, responsible food choices and informed decision-making are life skills that every child should develop. I am glad to have been part of an initiative that takes this thought forward.
