On the occasion of National Pharmacovigilance Week, the Faculty of Pharmacy, VMSB-UTU organised a Blood Donation Camp and Free Health Check-up Camp on 22 September 2026 at the University campus.

The initiative witnessed active participation from students, with 80 students donating blood. Students also benefited from free eye, general health and gynaecological consultations.

The blood donation camp was conducted in association with Manya Charitable Blood Centre, with consultations provided by: Dr. Vandana Tripathi, MBBS, MD – Senior Gynaecologist ; Dr. Maroof Hasan, MBBS – General Physician ; Dr. Kalyan, MBBS, MD – Eye Specialist

A meaningful initiative promoting health awareness, preventive care and the spirit of voluntary blood donation among the university community.

Veer Madho Singh Bhandari Uttarakhand Technical University (VMSBUTU), Dehradun, in collaboration with Abhyuday Bharat Rising Forum, organised an engaging Youth Connect programme at the Government Women Institute of Technology (WIT) campus.

Under the leadership of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Tripta Thakur, the programme brought together distinguished personalities and young minds for meaningful dialogue on youth, values and nation-building.

The programme was graced by Shri Dhananjay Ji, Vibhag Pracharak, RSS Uttarakhand, and Dr. Surekha Dangwal, Vice Chancellor, Doon University, as Chief Guest and keynote speaker.

Addressing the students, Dr. Surekha Dangwal highlighted the significance of character, discipline, integrity, leadership and responsibility, inspiring youth to look beyond academic success and contribute meaningfully to society and the nation.

The screening of Operation Sindoor and a special presentation by Abhyuday Bharat Rising Forum added a strong dimension of national pride, youth engagement and social responsibility to the programme.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the WIT & FOT fraternity, faculty, staff and students, and concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Rajesh Upadhyay, Registrar, VMSBUTU, followed by the National Anthem.

An informative Outreach Programme on GATE & JAM 2027 was organised for the students of Veer Madho Singh Bhandari Uttarakhand Technical University (VMSBUTU), Dehradun, by the GATE-JAM Office, IIT Roorkee.

The session was conducted by Prof. P. Sumanthi, Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Roorkee, who provided students with a comprehensive overview of GATE and JAM, including their significance, benefits, eligibility and application process, along with the academic and career opportunities they open up.

The interactive session helped students understand how these national-level examinations can serve as pathways to higher education, research, scholarships and diverse career opportunities, while encouraging them to plan their academic journey with greater clarity and purpose.

A valuable initiative to inform, guide and empower students to explore new academic possibilities. 🌱

Veer Madho Singh Bhandari Uttarakhand Technical University (VMSBUTU), Dehradun celebrated Engineers’ Day with enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members of the Faculty of Technology (FOT) and Women Institute of Technology (WIT).

The celebration highlighted the spirit of engineering, innovation, problem-solving and nation-building, inspiring students to transform knowledge into meaningful solutions for society.

Dr. Ashish Bagwari and Dr. Vishal Ramola addressed the gathering and encouraged students to pursue excellence, nurture an innovative mindset and embrace the responsibilities that come with being future engineers.

The event also featured a Prize Distribution Ceremony, recognising and appreciating the enthusiasm, talent and achievements of the participating students. 🏆

A significant milestone of the “Vigyan Setu – Connecting Students” programme was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Veer Madho Singh Bhandari Uttarakhand Technical University (VMSBUTU), Dehradun and India Smart Grid Forum (ISGF).

The MoU was signed by Prof. (Dr.) Tripta Thakur, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, VMSBUTU, and Dr. Reji Kumar Pillai, Chairman, India Smart Grid Forum (ISGF), marking an important step towards strengthening institutional collaboration in the areas of technology, innovation and emerging and future technical requirements.

The collaboration aims to facilitate greater opportunities for knowledge exchange, technological engagement and cooperation in areas aligned with evolving technical needs and innovation.

Ms. Reena Suri, representing ISGF, was also present on the occasion.

VMSBUTU looks forward to meaningful academic and technological collaboration with ISGF towards creating greater opportunities for students and strengthening the ecosystem of innovation and technology.

Veer Madho Singh Bhandari Uttarakhand Technical University (VMSBUTU), Dehradun, organised “Vigyan Setu – Connecting Students” on the theme “Promoting Scientific Thinking and STEM Education among Young Learners.”

The programme aimed to nurture scientific curiosity, logical thinking, innovation, experimental learning and awareness of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) among young learners.

The programme was graced by Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, as the Chief Guest, along with Dr. Shiv Kumar Sharma, National Organisation Secretary, VIBHA; Prof. (Dr.) Tripta Thakur, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, VMSBUTU; Prof. Durgesh Pant, Director General, UCOST; Dr. K.D. Purohit, President, DBVS, VIBHA, Uttarakhand Chapter; Dr. D.P. Uniyal, Joint Director, UCOST & Vice-President, DBVS, VIBHA; Dr. Narendra Singh, Secretary, DBVS, VIBHA, Uttarakhand Chapter; and Dr. Reji Kumar Pillai, Chairman, India Smart Grid Forum (ISGF), along with other distinguished guests, faculty members and students.

The sessions focused on scientific learning, hands-on experimentation, the Himalayan ecosystem, career opportunities in Science and Technology, fundamental sciences, emerging technologies and the role of innovation in building a developed India.

The programme also encouraged students to actively participate in scientific and technological activities and contribute towards the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.

Vigyan Setu – Connecting Students | VMSB UTU

VMSB Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun hosted “Vigyan Setu – Connecting Students”, focusing on scientific temper, STEM education, innovation and youth engagement.

The programme was graced by Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, Uttarakhand, along with Prof. (Dr.) Tripta Thakur, Vice-Chancellor, VMSB UTU, and distinguished representatives from VIBHA, UCOST, ISGF and DBVS.

The event featured engaging discussions on scientific curiosity, hands-on learning, Himalayan ecology, career opportunities, emerging technologies and innovation, along with the felicitation of meritorious and participating students.

Prof. (Dr.) Tripta Thakur also led the Nasha Mukti and Viksit Bharat pledge, inspiring students towards responsible citizenship and nation-building.

A key highlight was the MoU signing between VMSB UTU and India Smart Grid Forum (ISGF) to strengthen collaboration in technology, innovation and emerging technological areas.
