The 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘗𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘊𝘦𝘭𝘭 of Shri Guru Ram Rai University, under the aegis of the 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘘𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘈𝘴𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘊𝘦𝘭𝘭 (𝘐𝘘𝘈𝘊), organized an insightful guest lecture on “𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐰𝐚𝐲: 𝐀 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐲 𝐀𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐝” . The session was conducted by Mr. Neeraj, Branch Head of IDP Education, a globally recognized organization in international student placements. The session was highly interactive, drawing enthusiastic participation from students across various departments. Students posed thoughtful questions related to profile building, language proficiency tests (IELTS/TOEFL), standardized exams (SAT/GRE/GMAT), SOP/LOR writing and university selection strategies. ⁣
The lecture was especially beneficial for students aspiring to pursue higher education in countries like the 𝐔𝐒𝐀, 𝐔𝐊, 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐝𝐚, 𝐀𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐚, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐙𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝. The Training and Placement Cell extended heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Neeraj for his valuable insights and contributions to student development.⁣

Shri Guru Ram Rai University (SGRRU), School of Management and Commerce Studies, organized a thought-provoking alumni interaction session titled “Echoes in an Empty Hall: Finding Your Voice as a Leader.”
The session featured Dr. Rahul Varshney, a distinguished alumnus of SGRRU, who is presently associated with Altrus Healthcare, Dehradun. In his impactful address, Dr. Varshney explored the significance of leadership, self-awareness, and finding one’s authentic voice in both personal and professional spheres.
The School of Management and Commerce Studies continues to promote such enriching engagements with alumni, bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world experience. The university extends its heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Rahul Varshney for sharing his journey and insights.

A Workshop on “ScienceDirect Onboarding and Author” Organized at SGRR University
Under the aegis of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Shri Guru Ram Rai University, a workshop on the topic “ScienceDirect Onboarding and Author” was organized on Friday for faculty members and research scholars. The event was jointly conducted by the Library Information Resource Center and Elsevier.
During the session, various aspects related to publishing with Elsevier were discussed. Dr. Nitin Ghosal, Customer Success Manager – South Asia from Elsevier, addressed the attendees and explained what ScienceDirect is, its new features, and how it benefits researchers. He emphasized that while other publishers are also integrating AI, the references provided by Elsevier are more reliable. With the help of AI, it has now become easier for researchers to find relevant literature on ScienceDirect.
Dr. Nitin further highlighted that while AI can be a useful tool, complete reliance on it is not advisable and proper control is necessary.
Towards the end of the workshop, a quiz related to research was conducted in which Dr. Bhavna performed exceptionally well and emerged as the top performer.
On this occasion, IQAC Director Prof. Sonia Gambhir, Librarian Dr. Amita Saklani, Prof. Vipul Jain, Prof. Arun Kumar, Prof. Om Narayan Tiwari, along with many faculty members and research scholars, were present.
