Law College Dehradun organizes: REAP 11.0 – Emphasizing Peer-led Training model
Law College Dehradun successfully organized REAP 11.0, a dynamic student-led legal training initiative under the aegis of the Moot Court Society (MCS), from 20 August to 17 September 2026.Designed as a practical training ground for emerging legal minds, REAP 11.0 empowered students to take the lead in their learning journey—transforming legal theory into research, drafting, advocacy, and courtroom performance.
The journey began with REAP 11.0 Launchpad on 20 August, where Dr. Hitesh Bhatt, Law Officer, NTPC Ltd., equipped students with practical insights into proposition analysis, legal research, memorial preparation, persuasive submissions, and courtroom strategy. The session was moderated by Ms. Vidhi Sharma and Mr. Anirudh Sharma.
The programme then moved into intensive, hands-on mentoring sessions from 2 September. Students worked on memorial drafting, legal argumentation, citation practices, and oral advocacy, receiving continuous feedback through draft reviews and simulated moot-court exercises.
The training culminated in competitive oral pleading rounds from 15- 17 September, where students stepped into the courtroom with confidence, presenting arguments, responding to questions from the Bench, and sharpening their skills through rebuttals and counter-submissions.
What made REAP 11.0 truly distinctive was its emphasis on learning by doing and students training students. Through peer-led engagement, collaborative preparation, mentoring, and courtroom simulations, the initiative created a vibrant learning ecosystem where first-year students could experience the discipline and demands of advocacy from the very beginning. From research desks to the moot courtroom, REAP 11.0 marked a transformative journey, building not just mooters, but confident researchers, persuasive speakers, and future-ready legal professionals.
