Woodsorrel Summer Camp in full swing . From dance classes to Music classes to Yoga Classes…..our summer campers are exploring a wide variety of ideas and concepts, and of course, having a ton of fun. Here’s a look into a day in our summer camp.

PLANET VS.PLASTIC this year’s EARTH DAY theme.

To promote the concept of ’Recycle Plastic’ children got plastic bottles from home and painted it and made a beautiful planters and got them ready for planting activity to be done on 22nd April on the occasion of the Earth Day.

Parent Teacher Connference -23rd March 2024

Parents and Teachers came together, got on the same page, gained vital insights about what the child is interested in, where he or she is thriving, and where some problem-solving may be needed to address and areas where the child needs additional help etc.
A positive, friendly relationship between parents and teachers made the communication more natural and seamless. It allowed conference to be more conversational and relaxed, too—and a real pleasure😊.

The Daily Greeting: A Respectful Routine .

The daily greeting between a Woodsorrel Angels’Meadow preschooler and teacher is a special moment. It is a key transition of the day and must be carried out with respect, care and consistency. The initial greeting can often set the tone for the day ahead, therefore, it is important to make the initial greeting a joyful one so that the child feels welcomed, and respected.

Teaching Children about SafeTouch and Unsafe Touch: A Simple story by using a doll.

Step 1:
Explained children that sometimes people touch us in ways that feel good, like a hug or a high-five, and sometimes people touch us in ways that feel uncomfortable or scary. These are called good touches and bad touches.

Step 2:
Demonstrated a good touch with doll such as giving a hug or a high-five, and asked the children if they know what that is called.

Step 3:
Taught children to say “no”if someone touches them in a way that feels uncomfortable or scary.

Step 4:
Told kids it’s important to tell a trusted adult, like a parent or teacher, if someone touches them in a way that makes them feel uncomfortable.

There’s nothing more fun than spending time splashing and frolicking in the water.
Water play is both fun and educational and has a range of benefits for your child’s social and emotional development, as well as developing their physical abilities and early literacy and numeracy skills. As an added bonus, children rarely get bored of it!😁
