Adding another feather to his cap, he has been selected to represent India at the International Youth Exchange Program (IYEP) 2026 in the Kyrgyz Republic. His remarkable achievement reflects dedication, leadership, discipline, and excellence, bringing immense pride to Graphic Era and the nation.

We are proud to share that the Patent Office, Government of India has granted a Design Patent for “Foldable Stairs for the Western Toilet for Converting it into an Indian Toilet” to Graphic Era Hill University.

The Department of Civil Engineering at Graphic Era Hill University successfully conducted a Public Awareness Program on Solid Waste Management on 06th April 2026 at Ladpur, Raipur, Dehradun in association with the Eco Group Society.

The program witnessed active participation from students of the Civil Engineering Department, along with faculty members and resource persons. The session focused on waste segregation and sustainable practices.

The program was guided by Mr. Ankit Nainwal (AP) and Mr. Ankit Negi (AP) , with valuable support from Mr. Ashish Garg (President, EcoGroup Society) and Mr. Anil Kumar Mehta (Secretary, EcoGroup Society).

The event concluded successfully, highlighting the importance of environmental responsibility.

The Department of Civil Engineering, in association with Eco Group Society at Graphic Era Hill University, organized an expert lecture on “Solid Waste Management for a Clean and Sustainable Environment.”

We were pleased to have 𝐌𝐫. 𝐀𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐠, President of Eco Group Society, Dehradun, as the resource person. He shared valuable knowledge and practical ideas on sustainable waste management.

The session was also enriched by the presence of 𝐌𝐫. 𝐀𝐧𝐢𝐥 𝐊𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐫 𝐌𝐞𝐡𝐭𝐚, Secretary of Eco Group Society, whose insights added great value to the discussion.

The lecture focused on the importance of proper waste management, recycling methods, and the role of community participation in creating a cleaner and greener future.

Students and faculty actively participated, making the session interactive and meaningful.

The Department of Civil Engineering, Graphic Era Hill University at Graphic Era Hill University successfully organized an insightful Alumni Interaction Session featuring our distinguished alumnus Er Umesh Chandra Thapliyal (B.Tech CE, Class of 2018), currently serving as CEO, Design Tech Engineers and Consultants.

The session, titled “Beyond Blueprints: The Human Dimension of Civil Engineering,” provided students with a broader perspective on the role of civil engineers beyond technical design—emphasizing ethics, leadership, real-world challenges, and human-centric problem solving.

Students actively engaged in discussions and gained valuable industry insights, career guidance, and inspiration from the speaker’s professional journey.

The event was seamlessly coordinated by Alumni Coordinator Mrs. Ritiksha Danu, whose efforts ensured the success of this enriching session.

Such interactions continue to bridge the gap between academia and industry, empowering our students to become competent and responsible engineers.
