Grand Closing Ceremony of 12-Day Summer Camp at Charles’s Wain Academy

Bhogpur, Dehradun, May 31, 2026: The 12-day Summer Camp organized at Charles’s Wain Academy concluded successfully with a vibrant and colorful closing ceremony held on the school campus. Students, parents, and staff members participated enthusiastically in the event.

During the program, students showcased their talents through various academic and co-curricular activities, reflecting the skills, creativity, adventure spirit, and confidence they had developed throughout the camp. Cultural performances, sports activities, and other engaging presentations received great appreciation from the audience.

An exhibition featuring students’ creative work was also organized. It displayed craft projects, working models, Best Out of Waste creations, pottery, stone painting, and other artistic works prepared during the camp. The exhibition highlighted the students’ creativity, innovation, and artistic abilities, which were highly appreciated by parents and visitors.

On this special occasion, meritorious students of Classes X and XII were honored with mementos in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements. Parents also actively participated in various fun-filled activities and were presented with gifts as a token of appreciation for their involvement and support.

Addressing the gathering, Principal Mrs. Neelam Tripathi, Director Mr. Anubhav Bahuguna, Vice Principal Mr. Sanjeev Dabral, Mr. Anil Joshi, Mr. Rakesh Rawat, Balbir S , Anchal Ramyani, Asha Rawat, Naresh Joshi, Apeksha, Suman, Shalini Paul, Neeraj Tomar, Ravi Silswal and all faculty members expressed their gratitude to the parents, teachers, and students for their cooperation, dedication, and active participation. They emphasized that the Summer Camp became memorable and successful because of the collective efforts of everyone involved.

The program concluded in a joyful atmosphere, celebrating education, creativity, teamwork, and community participation.

Charles's Wain Academy is gearing up for the Grand Summer Camp, which is scheduled to begin on 18th May. A large number of students have enthusiastically registered for the camp, which is designed to promote learning by doing and support the holistic development of every child.

A wide variety of engaging and skill-enhancing activities have been planned, including art and craft, pottery, music, stone painting, origami, indoor and outdoor sports, meditation, yoga, Zumba, and several brainstorming and creative tasks. These activities aim to boost students’ creativity, physical fitness, concentration, and teamwork.

Students are eagerly looking forward to the beginning of the camp, while teachers are actively preparing activity stations, organizing materials, and ensuring that all arrangements are in place.

National Technology Day – 11th May

On National Technology Day, students presented an impressive and informative assembly showcasing India’s progress in science and technology—from the Pokhran nuclear tests under Atal Bihari Vajpayee to today’s Digital India, including UPI payments and the achievements of BrahMos Aerospace.

They also remembered great scientists such as A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, Homi J. Bhabha, and Vikram Sarabhai. Principal Ma'am also shared valuable insights about the contributions of these scientists to the development of our country.

The presentation was well-prepared, engaging, and truly reflected the spirit of modern, digital India.

Special Mother’s Day Celebration was organized at Charles's Wain Academy with great enthusiasm and joy by the Pre-Primary Wing.

The celebration aimed to honour the unconditional love, care and sacrifices of mothers while creating beautiful memories for both students and their mothers.

The tiny tots enthusiastically participated in a variety of fun-filled and creative activities conducted in their respective classrooms. Students enjoyed tear-and-paste activities, drawing, colouring, and finger-printing activities specially designed for the occasion.

The school campus was filled with happiness and excitement as mothers visited the school and clicked memorable photographs with their children at the beautifully decorated selfie board.

Special takeaways and handmade tokens of love prepared by the students were also given to the mothers as a gesture of affection and appreciation. The event strengthened the bond between mothers and children and filled the atmosphere with warmth and positivity.

The school celebrated Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti with great enthusiasm in the school. The special assembly was conducted by the Yellow House students, who presented a meaningful programme highlighting the life, vision and values of Rabindranath Tagore.

The assembly commenced with the “Thought of the Day,” inspiring everyone with the ideals of peace, harmony and humanity promoted by Rabindranath Tagore. The students of Yellow House delivered an informative speech about his contribution to education, literature and society. A graceful dance performance was also presented, which added charm to the celebration.

The entire presentation beautifully reflected Tagore’s vision of holistic education, moral values, unity and cultural harmony. The students participated enthusiastically and conveyed the message of love, peace, and wisdom through their performances.

The celebration concluded with an inspiring address by the Principal Ma’am, who guided the students about the vision, teachings, and values of Rabindranath Tagore and encouraged them to follow his ideals in their daily lives.

Aeromodelling & Aviation Awareness Programme at Charles Wain Academy ✈️

On 30th April 2026, Charles's Wain Academy had the privilege of hosting a team from Sky Vidya, in collaboration with Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun, for an inspiring Aviation and Aeromodelling Awareness Programme.

Students were introduced to the vast scope of aviation and the rising career opportunities in this dynamic field. The team demonstrated their self-made drones and gliders, sparking tremendous curiosity among our learners. 🚁🛩️

The highlight of the session was the announcement that the team will also train our students in Aeromodelling — teaching them to build their own drones and gliders. This hands-on experience will help students understand real-world aviation technology and aerodynamics.

Students actively participated in demonstrations, enjoyed engaging activities, and received special gifts for their enthusiastic involvement.

A truly motivating and innovative experience for our young minds!

Charles's Wain Academy today celebrated Buddha Purnima with great reverence and enthusiasm during the morning assembly. The special assembly was conducted by the Green House students, who presented a thoughtful and meaningful programme based on the life and teachings of Gautam Buddha.

The assembly began with the news headlines, followed by the “Thought of the Day,” which highlighted the valuable teachings of Buddha. The students then presented a well-organized skit depicting the life of Gautam Buddha and emphasizing his message of truth and non-violence. The performance was engaging and conveyed a strong moral message to the audience.

The programme concluded with an inspiring speech by the Vice Principal Sir, who encouraged students to follow the path of righteousness and incorporate Buddha’s teachings in their daily lives. The assembly ended on a solemn note with the National Anthem.

In addition, the pre-primary students actively participated in class activities related to Buddha Purnima, where they engaged in simple and creative tasks to understand the values of kindness and sharing.

Charles’s Wain Academy, Bhogpur, Dehradun, secured the Runner-Up position in the Inter-School Volleyball Tournament held on Sunday, April 26, competing among 25 teams in the Under-14 and Under-19 categories.

The team performed exceptionally well, defeating St. Xavier School, Saharanpur in the semi-finals with scores of 21–15 and 21–19. The final against Dhama Academy, Meerut was closely contested, ending with scores of 26–24 and 19–21.

As a token of appreciation, Principal Ma’am awarded each player with a certificate, medal, and a cash prize of ₹500.

The team members were of classes 11th and 12th: Kartik Pundir, Anirudh, Shivanshu, Akshat Kukreti, Anant Rawat, Aksh*t Negi, Sachin Singh, Abhinav Rawat, and Nish*t Rawat.

Vice Principal Sir addressed the students, appreciating their efforts and motivating them for future success.

Principal Ma’am addressed the students, applauding their efforts and encouraging them to continue striving for excellence in both sports and academics.

Charles’s Wain Academy, Bhogpur, Dehradun, celebrated World Earth Day with great enthusiasm during the morning assembly. Students assembled house-wise, and the Blue House conducted the assembly efficiently.

Students delivered speeches in both Hindi and English, highlighting the importance of protecting the environment. A short G.K. quiz on Earth Day was also conducted, in which students actively participated.

The Vice Principal Sir encouraged students to take a pledge to protect the environment and contribute towards a greener and cleaner planet.

The Principal Ma’am shared her thoughts on reducing pollution and adopting eco-friendly practices. She urged students to become responsible citizens and take small but effective steps towards environmental conservation.

The pre-primary students presented a role play, conveying the message of saving the Earth in a simple and effective manner.

The celebration concluded with the National Anthem and on a positive note for students motivating and making them aware of their role in preserving the environment.
