3EP with Bhutanese Educators | The Final Day

The 3EP programme came to a warm and memorable close, celebrating a week of learning, cultural exchange, meaningful conversations, and lasting connections.

The evening before the final day featured a special Principal’s Dinner hosted in honour of the Bhutanese delegation, bringing together guests and school officials for an evening of camaraderie and intercultural exchange.

The final day began with a vibrant showcase of India’s artistic heritage by the teachers of Unison World School, featuring Meera Ka Bhajan, Kathak, Bandish, and a lively Fusion Dance blending tradition with contemporary expression.

The celebrations continued with the Certificate Awarding Ceremony, where each Bhutanese educator received a Programme Completion Certificate and memento in recognition of their dedicated participation throughout the week.

The Bhutanese delegates then reciprocated with a traditional dance performance, offering a glimpse into Bhutan’s rich cultural heritage and creating a beautiful moment of mutual respect and appreciation.

Heartfelt thanks to Ms. Deepti Sawhney, Founder & CEO, Mahattattva, and the entire Mahattattva team for their valuable contribution in bringing this meaningful exchange to life. We also sincerely appreciate our programme coordinators, Mr. Digvijay Rawat and Mr. Shanker Dayal, along with the entire UWS team, for their dedicated efforts, coordination, and support throughout the programme.

A week of learning, culture, and connection — leaving behind memories and friendships that will last well beyond 3EP.

3EP with Bhutanese Educators | Day 3

As part of the 3EP programme, our Bhutanese delegates stepped beyond the classroom for a cultural visit to Mindrolling Monastery and Buddha Temple, Clement Town. Set against the calm of the monastery grounds, delegates found a quiet space to reflect on the shared Buddhist traditions binding India and Bhutan, taking in the values of mindfulness, peace and compassion that define the region’s cultural richness.

Meanwhile, our students engaged in the DIGIKAVACH workshop, led by Ms. Vibha Puri and Team Mahattattva, focused on AI awareness and digital safety. An early activity featuring a seemingly real image of “Jalebi-flavoured Lays”, later revealed as an AI-generated hoax, drove home just how easily misinformation can pass as fact. From there, the conversation turned to cybercrime, online scams and cyberbullying, equipping students with the tools to think critically and navigate the digital world responsibly.

Two very different experiences, one shared reminder: that learning stretches far beyond textbooks!

3EP with Bhutanese Educators | Day 2

Day 2 of the 3EP programme brought together psychology, creativity and pedagogy, offering our Bhutanese delegates a rich, hands-on learning experience.

The day opened with a workshop on the psychology of teacher-student interactions, followed by Art and Theatre sessions in Tie and Dye and Madhubani Painting, and a Nukkad Natak performed by UWS students that left a lasting impression on the delegates.

Lesson Simulation sessions across Mathematics, Science and Psychology gave visiting educators a closer look at student-centred teaching in action, while an afternoon Focus Group Discussion with the school’s leadership and academic heads opened up dialogue on curriculum, assessment and educational innovation.

An AmplifyU session on Artificial Intelligence in Education rounded out the day, exploring how technology can support without replacing the teacher’s role in the classroom.

Day 2 closed with reflection and shared insight, carrying the spirit of collaboration forward into the days ahead.

3EP with Bhutanese Educators | Day 1
Unison World School welcomed educators from Bhutan for the five-day Expanding and Enhancing Educational Pedagogies (3EP) programme—an enriching exchange of ideas, practices and perspectives.
The day began with a warm welcome and traditional lamp lighting, with Ms. Deepti Sawhney, CEO, Mahattattva, highlighting her association with Mahattattva and the Bhutanese delegation, and the importance of meaningful cultural and educational exchange.
The programme featured sessions on UWS’s Vision & Mission, a day in the life of a UWS student, and the Cambridge Curriculum, followed by workshops on assessment, higher-order thinking and Canva Education.
Day 1 concluded with reflection and knowledge sharing, setting the tone for four more days of professional learning and collaboration.

22nd Sub-Junior State Basketball Championship | 2026

Parade Ground, Dehradun turned into a stage for grit and skill as our school stepped onto the court at the 22nd Sub-Junior State Basketball Championship.

Representing the school single-handedly, Aarvika Kapoor brought her A-game and a competitive edge that stood out through every quarter. The result? A well-deserved 1st Place finish at the state level.

Congratulations, Aarvika! Wishing you the best as you head to the Nationals.

CISCE National Hockey Championship | Under-19 Girls

Six players represented Unison World School at the Championship held at St. Xavier’s School, Doranda, Ranchi, Jharkhand.

Ishwa Ghodasara, Khushi Jadon, Varsh*tha Tekriwal, Diva Agarwal, Kessar Lakhotia and Aarna Jindal competed across three matches, coming away with a win, a draw and a hard-fought defeat. Every match tested their teamwork and resolve, as our girls went up against some of the strongest teams from across the country.

We’re proud of our players and wish them continued success as they carry this experience forward!

24th Uttarakhand State Shooting Championship | Rifle & Pistol

Sixteen young girls from our school took part in the tournament at Jaspal Rana Shooting Academy, Pondha, Dehradun.

Split evenly across Rifle and Pistol categories, our shooters competed in the Youth and Sub-Youth divisions, with two students venturing into the 50m Rifle Peep Sight event in the Prone Position for the very first time. Seven newcomers stepped onto the range for their debut at this level and rose to the occasion, each earning a place at the Pre-National Championship, while seven seasoned competitors brought their sharp instincts to gain consistently strong scores.

Meaningful Exchange of Educational Perspectives

We were honoured to welcome Mr. Manjitinder Singh Bedi, Chairman, Indo-British School, Nabha and former Headmaster, Punjab Public School, along with his wife, Mrs. Kuljit Kaur Bedi, Director, and son, Mr. Prithvijit Singh Bedi, Director, Indo-British School, Nabha, to Unison World School.

During their visit, they met with the Principal and had the opportunity to interact with our staff and students. The conversations made for a warm and enriching exchange of ideas, experiences and perspectives on education and school leadership.

Visits such as these are a reminder of the value of learning from one another. We are grateful for the opportunity to share experiences, reflect on our practices and strengthen meaningful connections within the wider education community.

We look forward to nurturing this association and continuing the dialogue around academic excellence, holistic development and, above all, the well-being of our students.

INTER-SCHOOL AQUA MEET 2026 | Swimming Championship

A team of seven swimmers from our school made a splash at the Ecole Globale 8th Invitational Inter-School Swimming Competition.

Across individual and relay events, our girls brought focus to the pool. Nadia Sony led the medal tally with Silver in the 100m Individual Medley, 50m Freestyle, 50m Breaststroke and the 4×25m Medley Relay, along with Bronze in the 4×50m Freestyle Relay. Vanshika Ved and Jia Ayachi each claimed Silver and Bronze across individual and relay events, while Aditri Gupta and Pearl added further medals to the tally through the relay categories.

A GRACEFUL WELCOME | Welcome Assembly 2026

We had the pleasure of hosting a delegation of respected educational leaders at our campus.

Mr Pramod Sharma, Education Consultant; Mrs Neera Singh, Principal, Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School, Jodhpur; and Lt Col Avinash Singh, Principal, Rajkumar College, Raipur honoured us with their presence, and we marked the occasion with a special assembly.

The highlights included Western and Indian melodies, the spirited folk tradition of Kajari, an energetic Spanish number, and a graceful classical piece honouring feminine strength.

A presentation on the school’s ethos and philosophy also gave our guests a closer look at life at Unison and set the tone for their visit.
