Touch Wood School Celebrates the 80th Independence Day with Patriotic Fervour and Grandeur 🇮🇳 🇮🇳

Touch Wood School celebrated the 80th Independence Day of our nation with immense pride, patriotism and enthusiasm. The campus echoed with the spirit of Azadi, as the entire Touch Wood family came together to honour the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and celebrate the glorious journey of our nation. 🇮🇳 🇮🇳
The programme commenced with the Flag Hoisting Ceremony, led by our esteemed Principal, Dr. Puja Naithani, in the presence of the entire Touch Wood family. As the Tricolour soared proudly against the sky, the atmosphere was filled with a deep sense of national pride. The ceremony was followed by the National Anthem, which united everyone in one powerful voice of patriotism.
The students of Touch Wood School then marched proudly to the resounding beats of drums, displaying discipline, confidence and unwavering love for their motherland. The Oath was administered to the Woodians by Mrs. Preeti Saxena, reminding everyone of their responsibility towards the nation and its values.
The patriotic spirit continued with the soulful rendition of the National Song, followed by an energetic and captivating dance performance by the Junior School students. The Middle School students added another memorable dimension to the celebration with a soul-stirring musical presentation. 🇮🇳 🇮🇳
The audience was further inspired by Adarsh Bhatt’s sensational speech, which beautifully reflected the courage, sacrifice and indomitable spirit that shaped India’s freedom. Unnati’s mesmerising dance performance💃 added grace and vibrancy to the celebrations.
On this significant occasion, Mrs. Khushbu Mathew administered the Oath, inspiring the students to uphold the values of integrity, responsibility and patriotism.🎉🎊
The Principal, Dr. Puja Naithani, addressed the Woodians with an enriching and inspiring message, urging the students to become responsible citizens and contribute positively to the progress of the nation.
Our beloved Mrs. Meenakshi Saxena, fondly known as BIG MA’AM, further enlightened the students with her powerful and motivational words. Her message left the young minds inspired to dream fearlessly, work diligently and serve the nation with pride.

The ceremony concluded on a melodious and uplifting note with a chorus performance by Diksha, Aradhaya Nath and Pranjal Dhiman, followed by a high-pitched musical performance by Vardan, leaving the audience enthralled.🤩
The celebration was not merely a commemoration of Independence; it was a powerful reminder that freedom comes with responsibility, patriotism demands action, and the future of India rests in the hands of its young citizens.
It was truly a day of pride, inspiration, unity and unforgettable patriotic fervour—a day that reminded every Woodian to carry the spirit of India in their hearts and the responsibility of building a stronger nation on their shoulders.

The students of Touch Wood School enthusiastically participated in a vibrant patriotic rally on Monday, 10th August, 2026 as part of the nationwide 🇮🇳"Har Ghar Tiranga"🇮🇳 campaign🥳. Proudly carrying the Indian National Flag, the spirited Woodians marched through the surrounding streets to foster civic pride and encourage every household to hoist the Tricolor at their homes. 🇮🇳
This procession was filled with remarkable energy as Woodians chanted powerful inspirational slogans, including "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" and 🇮🇳"Vande Mataram"🇮🇳. Their unified voices resonated throughout the neighborhood, drawing local residents and shopkeepers out to witness the grand display of national pride and unity.🎊🎉
This initiative proved to be a resounding success, demonstrating the deep reverence and love these young citizens hold for the nation. Inter-School CBSE Sahodaya Badminton Tournament 2026
Touch Wood School, Dehradun proudly organized the CBSE Sahodaya Inter-School Badminton Tournament from 29th July to 31st July 2026 for Under-15 and Under-17 categories (Boys & Girls). The tournament featured both Team and Individual events, with enthusiastic participation from 17 schools.
We were honoured to have Mrs. Chhaya Khanna, Hon'ble President of Sahodaya School Complex and Principal of Scholars Home, as the Chief Guest for the closing ceremony.
The tournament provided a wonderful platform for young players to showcase their talent, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. Every match was played with great enthusiasm, fair play, and competitive spirit, making the event a grand success.

Touch Wood School, Dehradun celebrated its prestigious Induction Ceremony (2026–27)🤩🥳 and Academic Prize Distribution (2025–26) 🏆🏆on Saturday, July 25, 2026, with immense zeal.🎉🎉
This auspicious event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by an enchanting welcome dance by Junior prodigies. The Principal Dr. Puja Naithani extended a warm greeting, setting a celebratory tone. Newly appointed student leaders proudly took their solemn oaths, while stellar academic achievers and subject toppers received well-deserved accolades.
The Chief Guest for the occasion,🎊🎊 Mr. Manoj Kumar Gupta, Regional Officer at the CBSE Regional Office, Dehradun,🎊🎊 delivered a highly motivational and inspiring address that greatly encouraged the young leaders.🎉🎉
Following his speech, a special felicitation segment honored dedicated team members—Mr. Aman Saxena (Director-Administration), Mrs. Anju Sharma (Centre Head of Little Woodians, D.L. Road), and Mrs. Rameshwari Rana (Support Staff)—for their 25 years of steadfast service.🫡🫡
The rhythmic and captivating dance performances by the Middle Section (S. D. Road) and D.L. Road Campus students were enthusiastically appreciated by the audience,👏👏👏 while a melodious group song by the Senior Section choir group enriched the celebrations. Touch wood School celebrated the 🌱🌱'HARELA PARV'🌱🌱 on the 15th of July, 2026.
This day marks the onset of monsoon and' The Day of Green'. The School initiated the student-led plantation drive where the students of class 12th planted the saplings to promote ecological harmony. We look forward for a 'CLEANER AND A GREENER' environment through these small initiatives of our children.🪴🪴

Touch Wood School celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm. The students actively participated on this day . The event was an initiative to promote the importance of Yoga in maintaining a healthy lifestyle and to spread awareness about its physical, mental and spiritual benefits.🤩🥳
The session began with a warm-up, followed by a series of Asanas( postures), including Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Bhujangasana, Padmasana and Surya Namaskar. The Yoga formations were indeed breathtaking. The event concluded with a motivational speech by the Principal.🎊🎉
International Yoga Day 🧘♀️🧘 was celebrated by the Middle Section. Students participated with great enthusiasm and learned that yoga is not just about physical exercise, but also about mental well-being and peace.🤩🤩
The school plans to continue short weekly yoga sessions during homeroom periods to help students stay balanced throughout the academic year.🥳🥳

To foster Community, discipline and a positive start of the day....Touch Wood School started the morning of 9th May with the Thought of the day, the word of the day, followed by a short speech on the occasion of Rabindra Nathji's birth anniversary.
The Assembly concluded with a magical number by the Choir🎤🎤group on the occasion of the Mother's day.🤱 Our dear Big Ma'am addressed the students with her motivational words. Everyone stood in unison for the National Song (Vande Mataram).🥳🤩

आज प्रातःकालीन सभा में कक्षा 5 टीक हाउस के बच्चों ने “आपदा प्रबंधन”( Disaster Management) विषय पर जागरूकता से भरपूर प्रस्तुति दी।
बच्चों ने सुंदर कविता एवं संदेश के माध्यम से सभी को सतर्कता, सुरक्षा और आपदा के समय सही कदम उठाने का महत्व बताया।
प्रस्तुति ने सभी को यह संदेश दिया कि —
“सावधानी ही सुरक्षा है।”
