Dear Josephites,

The calamity has stuck Josephite once again we all are extremely disheartened, depressed and grieved to inform that we have lost yet another braveheart Jospephite Major Vibhuti Shankar Doundiyal, of 55, RR, resident of Dangwal Road, fighting for his country, he completed his ICSE from SJA in the year 2000 and ISC from Pine Hall School, Dehradun, graduated from DAV Degree College, joining Army through OTA,
He was the only brother of three sisters, 34 years old was married a year and half back his late father Om Prakash Doundiyal passed away in 2012, was employed with CDO office, only mother and grandmother are at home Josephite and they have no details to share ... this is extremely Sad 😔😔😔

The alumni community of St Josephs Academy is shocked to hear about Maj. Chitresh Bisht's (SJA -2006) martyrdom today in J& K due to an IED Blast near the International border.
On behalf of the Alumni community the SJA AA would like to express our deepest condolences to the family and pray for his soul to rest in peace .
A promising and a fine army officer's life has been snatched by an act of terror which we strongly condemn and exhort the government to take necessary action against the perpetrators of this heinous act.

Tiger zinda hai.. Not any more! Top Hizbul Mujahideen commander Sameer Tiger and Aaqib Khan gunned down in Pulwama, J&K. Smart uniform and American assault rifle can win you FB fans. Unfortunately, RR is NOT on Facebook. They will find you and they will kill you. That’s all they do!

Sameer Tiger threatened Major Rohit Shukla of 44 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) in a video leaked by Hizbul's social media team where Sameer Tiger challenged Major Shukla for a face-to-face encounter. In the last 30 seconds of the video, Tiger is heard saying, "Maa ka Dudh piya hai toh [Rohit] Shukla ko bolo samne aaye [If Shukla has guts then he should face me]". Hours later, they were face-to-face. Rest is history!

Major Rohit Shukla (was awarded Shaurya Chakra in January this year for his courage under fire while eliminating Hizbul terrorists) took two gunshots in the chest in this encounter which eventually eliminated Sameer Tiger. Maj Shukla has been shifted to 92 Base hospital in a critical condition. Another soldier, Abhinav Pathak also received gunshot wounds. Our prayers are with you . Fight this too!
