The A***n School Commemorates Freedom in its Truest Essence

This Independence Day, we honoured a freedom that goes far beyond a date on the calendar - one that gives every child at The A***n the wings to question, create, and dream without boundaries.

The proceedings commenced with Vande Mataram with young students joining hands to show their reverence to the motherland. Speeches in Hindi and English language followed, and resonated in the hearts of the attendees. Words like 'tiranga hawa se nahi, shaheedo ke khoon se lehrata hai' echoed and let people recall the many sacrifices behind every wave of our tricolour.

More enthusiasm was generated by the performance of dance and songs which celebrated the rich culture of our country. The spirit of patriotism was felt even more when the whole audience was filled with the voice of choir singing in unison.

The A***n School continues to nurture young brains with the courage to make the India of the future.

Voice of Reason & Rhetoric: The A***n School Hosts Inter-House English Debate at Saina Court!

The power of words as weapons of reason and rhetoric were seen alive at The A***n School on 8th August at Saina Court when The A***n School hosted the Inter-House Middle and Senior School English Debate Competitions.

Debaters from Middle School dealt with the contemporary issue "Social Media Isolates People Rather Than Brings Them Together," where the first place was secured by Rig House, followed by 2nd position to Atharva House, 3rd to Sama House, and Yajur House took 4th.

However, Senior School students assumed the positions of members of parliament to debate "Modern Society Rewards Appearances More Than Character," and Sama House won the event, followed by 2nd place to Rig House, 3rd place to Atharva House, and 4th place to Yajur House.

Individual winners include Alayana Siddiqui (Sama House) for Overall Best Speaker and Kriti Vashishtha for Overall Runner-Up Speaker.

Mrs. B. Dasgupta, the Principal, encouraged the kids by explaining how public speaking skills help them in becoming independent thinkers and leaders!

Speech, Spark & Victory: The A***n School Dominates Inter-House Hindi Competitions!

The A***n School saw an exceptional performance in oratory skills through its Inter-House Hindi Competitions that were held on August 8th.

Students of the Middle School displayed impressive logical argumentation and persuasive skills in the Hindi Debate Competition on the topic "क्या सोशल मीडिया बच्चों के लिए सुरक्षित है?" (Is social media safe for children?), thus clinching overall victory for Atharva House and awarding Naksh Samanta as Best Speaker For the Motion and Onish Awal as Best Speaker Against the Motion.

The Senior School students impressed with their exceptional quick thinking and fluency in the Ashu Bhashan (Extempore) Competition on the topic "युद्ध से शांति मिलती है या केवल अस्थायी समाधान" (Does war bring peace or just a temporary solution?), resulting in 1st position for Aradhya Negi from Atharva House and 2nd position for Vaishnavi Negi from Yajur House, thus winning overall house championship.

Art met purpose at The A***n School!

The Bottle Painting Competition on the theme 'Nature' inspired students to promote environmental awareness through creative, eco-friendly designs. The creativity continued in the T-Shirt Painting Competition on the theme 'Peace' where vibrant artwork beautifully expressed harmony, unity, compassion, and hope.
Every creation was a reminder that art has the power to inspire change and make the world a better place.

Two days of ideas, creativity, and healthy competition at Mind Spree 2026, hosted by St. Jude's School, brought out the best in our students. Participating in over 10 events, The A***n School proudly secured top honors and represented our school with confidence and enthusiasm.

"Raconter des histoires, c'est donner des ailes à l'imagination" — telling stories gives the imagination wings.

During our "Spin A Yarn" Storytelling Competition 2026–2027, Saina Court was a hive of magic, laughter, and amazing young talent. Our brilliant stars, from Class I to Class V, used amazing stage presence and emotion to bring magical worlds to life.

The audience was taken on imaginative excursions through tales including The Fox and the Crow, The Story of Zero, The Bicycle That Reached the Moon, and The Mystery of the Missing Rainbow, all masterfully presented. The program was hosted by anchors Inaaya and Nimai, with participants evaluated on memorization, pronunciation, and dramatic flair.

We would especially like to thank our principal, Ms. B. Dasgupta, whose motivating words inspired every child to shine.

Student participation in the recent Picture Composition Competition sparked incredible creativity, turning visual prompts into brilliant written stories. Students of classes VI, VII and VIII joined the event, showing great imagination, sharp observation, and strong writing skills. Students received a mystery picture prompt and had 60 minutes to translate visual details into a structured narrative. Seeing their raw ideas bloom on paper gave every participant a proud sense of achievement.
