The field moved as one.
Perfectly timed steps, steady rhythm, and a kind of energy you could feel in the air — Inter-House PT 2026 was less about drills and more about discipline turning into something beautiful.

Tata House led the charge in the junior category, also taking home the P.T. Gong, while Kashmir House stood tall in the senior category. And in the middle of it all, Jigmet Urgian of Hyderabad House set the standard for leadership, earning Best P.T. Leader.

Graced by Chief Guest Maj Gen Samir Bhalla, whose presence added depth and pride to the occasion.

An afternoon of strength, sync, and serious house pride.

An evening where stories moved beyond pages and into lived conversation.

The Doon School Literature Festival, centred around “Imagining the Past, Writing the Future,” brought together voices like Ankur Datta and Parvati Sharma, alongside the Guest of Honour, Brigadier Anirban Datta. From opening reflections and student readings to engaging sessions on graphic novels, history, and perspective, the festival explored how stories shape memory, identity, and the way we understand the world.

From thoughtful readings to engaging discussions, it was a space where ideas fuelled the imagination and left everyone enriched.

Oberoi House Midterm: In the mountains, every moment became a story

From long bus rides before dawn to steep climbs and snow-covered trails, Oberoi House midterms were filled with challenge, energy, and shared experiences. Doscos trekked through Kedarkantha, Juda Ka Talab, and beyond pushing themselves, adapting to the unexpected, and making the most of every moment.

Whether it was cricket in open meadows, late-night games, or simply navigating the mountains together, the journey brought learning, perspective, and a deeper connection to the hills.

Lessons at Altitude, Memories for Life
From snow-covered trails to quiet temple paths, Kashmir House spent their midterms where classrooms gave way to mountains, and lessons came without textbooks.

Across forms, the journeys unfolded differently, yet felt the same at heart. The S & SC Forms pushed through steep climbs and deep snow near Ruinsara Taal and Kush Kalyan, where endurance was tested but moments of pure joy, sliding down snowy slopes, sharing laughter, and gathering around bonfires, made it all worthwhile. The C and A Forms explored the serene beauty of Chopta, Tungnath, and Deoria Tal, where every step brought both challenge and calm, along with a sense of responsibility towards nature and each other. Meanwhile, the B Form found their rhythm in Lansdowne, balancing adventure, reflection, and history, from waterfalls to temples to stories of the Garhwal Rifles.

Different routes, different experiences, but one shared takeaway, that the mountains don’t just test you, they bring you closer to each other. These midterms weren’t just about endurance, but about friendships strengthened, moments lived fully, and memories that will stay long after the trek ends.

The DSMUN Secretariat is pleased to present the theme for the 19th edition of The Doon School Model United Nations Conference: “Between Endings and Beginnings, We Stand.”

In a world quietly unravelling, defined by deepening divisions and fading trust, we find ourselves at a moment that demands more than passive observation. The theme of DSMUN 2026 calls upon us to confront this uncertainty, not with silence, but with intent. It reminds us that while conflict may shape our present, it does not have to define our future.

Dialogue, in this context, is not mere diplomacy; it is resistance. It is the willingness to engage with discomfort, to question what seems certain, and to listen when it is easier to turn away. It is through these difficult, often imperfect conversations that understanding is built and progress is made.

Through DSMUN, we step into that space between what is ending and what is yet to begin. We challenge perspectives, navigate complexity, and search for meaning in a world without easy answers. This year, we gather not just as delegates, but as individuals willing to think deeper, speak with purpose, and act with intention, because in the narrow space between what we inherit and what we leave behind, what we choose to do matters most.

On the basketball court, the Old Boys emerged victorious in a closely fought Hensman Trophy match, finishing 52–41.

The school team struck back in hockey with an impressive 3–0 win in the KC Joshi match, led by goals from Jai Rana and Jaiveer Grewal.

From their first days in D Form to the beginning of their journey as Doscos, the Foot House boys stepped into the hills of Lansdowne for their first trek.

The first day unfolded gently, with quiet walks through the cantonment, a visit to a serene Shiva temple, and small moments that began to ease the unfamiliar. By the second day, a nature trail, shared meals, and simple laughter started replacing hesitation, as the boys slowly found comfort in each other’s company.

The third day brought their toughest test, a steep climb to Bhairavgadhi Mandir that pushed their limits and built resilience with every step. The fourth day offered balance, with a visit to Tarkeshwar Mahadev and a trek to a waterfall, giving them time to pause, reflect, and take in the beauty around them.

By the time they began their journey back, something had shifted. What started with uncertainty had quietly turned into confidence, connection, and a sense of belonging.
