Oceanic International School celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The programme commenced with the flag hoisting ceremony by our Chief Guest, Mrs. Kanchan Rawat, Pradhan of Sauda Saroli, in the presence of our respected Chairman, Mr. Vijay Kumar, and Principal, Mrs. Usha Rana.

Following the flag hoisting, the National Song was sung with pride and respect, followed by an impressive march past by the students. The programme continued with inspiring speeches in English and Hindi, highlighting the significance of Independence Day and the values of patriotism and national unity.

Our tiny tots delighted everyone with their charming performances, while the senior students filled the stage with energy, confidence, and patriotic spirit through their captivating presentations.

The celebration concluded on a patriotic note with Vande Mataram, followed by the distribution of sweets among the students and staff. The event was a memorable celebration that instilled a deep sense of pride, unity, and love for our nation in everyone present.

As part of an activity from the NCERT English textbook, our students enthusiastically created bird feeders using waste and easily available materials. This hands-on activity encouraged creativity, environmental awareness, and the importance of caring for birds. By transforming discarded items into useful bird feeders, the students learned the value of recycling and developed a sense of responsibility towards nature.

“Happy Harela” 🍃
To celebrate the festival of Harela, the students of Classes I to VIII at Oceanic International School participated enthusiastically in a Drawing and Painting Activity. Through their creative artwork, the students highlighted the importance of trees and greenery in protecting our environment. They also beautifully portrayed the rich culture and traditions associated with the Harela festival of Uttarakhand.

The colourful paintings reflected the students’ awareness of environmental conservation and their love for nature. The activity encouraged creativity while inspiring students to value their cultural heritage and contribute towards a greener future.

Oceanic International School celebrated Harela, the vibrant festival of greenery and nature, on 15 July with great enthusiasm. Students from all four houses—Green House, Yellow House, Blue House, and Red House—actively participated in a tree plantation drive on the school campus.

The plantation activity was conducted in the presence of the Director of the school, Mrs. Poonam Vijay, who appreciated the students’ efforts towards environmental conservation.

The students planted saplings and learned about the importance of protecting the environment and maintaining ecological balance. Teachers also participated in the activity and encouraged the students to care for the plants.

The celebration inspired students to develop a sense of responsibility towards nature and concluded with a pledge to protect the environment and make the Earth greener and healthier.

Oceanic International School successfully conducted an English Writing Competition for the students of Classes I to VIII. The competition provided a wonderful platform for students to showcase their handwriting, creativity, and writing skills. Participants wrote with great enthusiasm and presented their work beautifully. The event was conducted smoothly under the guidance and supervision of the class teachers, who encouraged and motivated the students throughout the competition.
