Graphic Era Deemed to be University

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Graphic Era Deemed to be University in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, organized a 2-day international conference called "Device Intelligence, Computing and Communication Technologies" (DICCT-2023) from March 17-18, 2023. The conference concluded on Saturday, March 18, 2023, after a successful program of online and offline sessions.
The second day of DICCT-23 began with an insightful keynote speech by Prof. Ashutosh Dutta from Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (JHU/APL) in the United States. He shared his views on 5G network and its applications, covering topics such as spectrum, security implications, different mitigation techniques, and assessments of cyber risks. This was followed by a talk from Prof. Rajeev Tripathi, Ex-Director of MNNIT Allahabad, Prayagraj, who discussed WMC principles, challenges, and possible solutions, along with the cognitive radio spectrum framework, in an offline mode.
Further on in the session, Prof. Sudeb Dasgupta from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, India, shared his views on FinFET/Nanosheet transistors technology for beyond Moore applications, the impact of Moore's law, fully depleted FinFET, and designing with FinFET, also in an offline mode.
In the valedictory address, conference chair Prof. (Dr.) Md. Irfanul Hasan expressed his hope that the conference would mark a new beginning in the development of indigenous models for devices in AI, communication, and various sectors of research to ensure sustainable development. He highlighted the importance of academic conclaves for both scholars and experts in expanding horizons of knowledge.
Prof. (Dr.) Md. Irfanul Hasan thanked all the attendees for making the program a success and shared that out of the total 610 papers received, 150 quality research papers were accepted after the review process by the technical program committee comprising of academicians and researchers from across the globe. Finally, 127 papers were registered and presented in hybrid mode (online/offline), with 54 papers presented on Day 1 and 73 papers presented on Day 2.

Uttarakhand State Skills Competition 2023!!
It was a moment of great pride and honour for the Department of Hospitality Management, Graphic Era Deemed to be University to collaborate with National Skills Development Corporation, Government of India and Uttrakhand Skill Development Society, Government of Uttarakhand to Host and Organize Uttarakhand State Skills Competition 2023.
The level Skills Competition is the part of the World Skill championship that will be held in 2024 in Paris, France. The participants were assessed by the jury members on the basis of the technical know-hows and the other skills they possess. The competition was attended by great zeal and enthusiasm from the participants hailing from the renowned institutions. The major areas emphasized were the skills pertaining to the Hotel Reception and Restaurant service. It was indeed a great learning platform for the participants as they have got a wonderful opportunity to display their skills at this Uttarakhand State Skills Competition.
Graphic Era Deemed to be University congratulate all the winners to continue with their winning streak and also would like to thank the other participants to make this competition a great success. We Would like to thanks the officials from UKSDM.
Last but not the least, thanks to all the dedicated volunteers for extending their help and contributing significantly towards organizing the grandeur event.
