इस बार घुघुती बसूती पर पढ़िए भाई-बहन के प्रेम, भिटौली की परंपरा और उस लोकविश्वास की मार्मिक कथा, जिसने ‘घुघुती’ को उत्तराखंड की पहचान बना दिया।

Some journeys don't begin with a destination. They begin with a conversation.
Over the past few years, our work has taken us across Uttarakhand—to schools nestled in forests, villages on mountain slopes, bustling towns, and remote hamlets. We travelled to explore nature with children, but somewhere along the way, we realised that our greatest discoveries weren't birds or forests—they were the stories children carried within them.
We met children who could name birds their grandparents had taught them, speak of changing seasons with quiet wisdom, recall forgotten folktales, and share memories rooted deeply in their landscapes. Every child had a unique story. Every story deserved to be heard.
Yet many of these voices remain confined to classrooms and villages, while traditional knowledge, local languages, and lived experiences slowly fade away.
Ghughuti Basuti was born from the belief that these stories belong to the world.
It is a space where children across Uttarakhand can write about the places they call home, the people who inspire them, the nature they grow up with, and the futures they dream of. More than a blog, it is an archive of young voices—a living collection of stories that future generations can return to.
Because when we preserve a child's story, we preserve a piece of our shared heritage.
