DIS Wins the Inter School Art Competition!

“Creativity takes courage—and our young artists proved it beautifully.”

In a remarkable achievement, DIS was declared the overall winner for the fourth consecutive year in the Rupali Memorial Art Competition held at The Doon Girls’ School. The school bagged the coveted Running Trophy along with a special Trophy for continuously winning the competition for the last four years.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from several schools, creating a vibrant and competitive atmosphere. DIS students stood out with their imaginative ideas, attention to detail, and confident expressions. Agrima Gairola of Grade 5 secured the 1st position in her category, bringing great pride to the school. The school congratulates the participating students and art teachers Mrs Karuna and Mrs Rachna Upadhyay for this tremendous achievement.

National Book Festival: A Journey into the World of Stories

“Books are a gateway to endless adventures.”

Students of Grades 3 to 5 had an enriching and joyful experience as they visited the National Book Festival held at Parade Ground. Organised by the National Book Trust, New Delhi, the festival offered a vibrant platform to nurture a love for reading.
The children eagerly participated in a variety of engaging sessions, from lively storytelling by renowned storytellers to interactive “Act a Story” and musical storytelling experiences. They also enjoyed unique sessions like Korean folk tales and expressive dance and movement activities. Each session was filled with enthusiasm, curiosity, and creativity, making learning truly delightful.
The visit left the students inspired and excited about books, turning the school into a happier place filled with stories, imagination, and newfound love for reading.

Congratulations to our dear student Rudra Pratap Singh of Grade 3 for his commendable participation in the 3 km Shaheed Marathon, an event dedicated to honouring our martyrs.

Congratulations to our dear students Vidhi of Grade 4 and Vidhaan Kaushik of Grade 3 for their commendable achievements in prestigious International Olympiads.
Vidhi has made us exceptionally proud by winning a trophy and a merit certificate in the International Green Warriors Olympiad, where she also secured an International Rank, along with earning a merit in the CREST International Spell Bee Winter Olympiad.
Vidhaan Kaushik has also showcased his excellence by earning a merit certificate in the International Green Warriors Olympiad and a merit in the International Spell Bee Winter Olympiad.

Baisakhi Blessings at the Gurudwara

“Every visit to a sacred place fills our hearts with peace and gratitude.”
The students of LKG and UKG enjoyed a beautiful and memorable visit to the Gurudwara on the joyful occasion of Baisakhi. Full of excitement, the little ones stepped into the serene atmosphere with folded hands and bright smiles. They listened with curiosity as they learned about the importance of Baisakhi and the values of gratitude, sharing, and kindness.
The visit became even more special as the children received blessings and happily participated in the spirit of the festival. Their cheerful faces and innocent enthusiasm made the morning truly memorable. The visit not only introduced them to an important festival but also filled the school with warmth, happiness, and togetherness.
It was indeed a beautiful day that made our school feel brighter and more blessed.

The festival of Baisakhi was celebrated with great enthusiasm through a special assembly presented by Class 5 Lily. The young speakers shared the significance of this vibrant harvest festival with confidence and clarity, highlighting the dedication and hard work of our farmers. They also delivered a meaningful message on the importance of not wasting food, encouraging everyone to value every grain. The assembly came alive with a spirited dance performance, filled with colour, rhythm, and festive joy, leaving the audience delighted. The students’ efforts reflected teamwork, awareness, and creativity. The celebration beautifully brought together learning and festivity, spreading smiles and gratitude, and making our school a happier, brighter place.

On Thursday, 9th April 2026, the school came alive with joy and appreciation as it hosted the Academic Excellence Awards Ceremony, recognising the remarkable accomplishments of students for the 2025–2026 session. The event reflected the consistent efforts, determination, and enthusiasm for learning shown by our young achievers.
The programme began with a warm and thoughtful welcome, encouraging values such as dedication, honesty, and a positive attitude towards growth. The highlight of the event was the award distribution, where students were applauded for their hard work and academic performance.
