Exploring Timber & Construction Excellence!

The Nature Club of SoAPD, in association with IIC, successfully organized an insightful Industrial Visit & Market Survey to the Timber Market and Quality Hardware, Dehradun on March 22, 2025.

Students from B.Arch (1st Year) and B.Design (Interior) (2nd Year) gained first-hand experience in understanding timber varieties, material sourcing, quality assessment, and market pricing.

Under the guidance of Ar. Shahrukh Shah, the visit provided a unique opportunity to bridge theoretical learning with practical industry exposure. Expert-led demonstrations, interactive Q&A sessions, and networking with market professionals enriched students' knowledge of sustainable materials and modern construction trends.

Architectural Site Visit Recap!

Our B.Arch (4th Year) students had an insightful visit to SIDA Office Building, IT Park, Dehradun on 21st October 2024. The visit focused on office space design, giving students hands-on experience in observing real-world architectural principles and construction techniques.

Congratulations to the talented students of the School of Architecture, Planning, and Design at Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University!

Our students have won the prestigious ZNC Design Trophy (D-18) at the NASA India Zone 1 Convention! Competing against 40+ colleges from 9 states, they emerged 1st place in this intense 18-hour straight design challenge, where they designed a Multiplex complete with theaters, commercial zones, and recreational spaces, all on a single sheet.
