ABHIVYAKTI FASHION SHOWHimalayan Institute of Design & Technology | 20th March 2026
The Abhivyakti Fashion Show, held on 20th March 2026 at the Himalayan Institute of Design & Technology, was a vibrant celebration of creativity and talent. Conceptualized and executed in-house, the event showcased students’ and faculty’s skills in design, modeling, and choreography. The programme began with a welcome address by the Director, Mrs. Namita Mamgain, along with the presentation of the annual report.
The show featured five themes—Behrupiya, Vastra Vibe, Rang-e-Ishq, Prahari, and Garden of Eden—each reflecting originality and cultural richness. The event was graced by Chief Guest Mrs. Himani Shivpuri and Guest of Honour Ms. Sangeeta Dhaundiyal, along with other distinguished guests and judges.
Participants confidently presented their creations on the ramp, and outstanding performances were recognized through awards such as Best Model, Runner-Up titles, and Best Designer for each sequence. The event concluded successfully, celebrating creativity, teamwork, and artistic excellence.

START-UP LEGAL AND ETHICAL STEPS
A session on “Start-Up Legal and Ethical Steps” was organized by the Innovation Cell of the Himalayan Institute of Design & Technology on 16th March 2026. The 1.5-hour offline session saw participation from 40 students and aimed to build awareness about the legal and ethical aspects of starting a business.
The session was conducted by Mr. Anu Pant, a lawyer, who explained key topics such as business registration, intellectual property rights, licensing, and compliance with regulations. He also highlighted the importance of ethical practices, transparency, and accountability in ensuring long-term success.
Students actively participated in an interactive discussion, raising questions on funding, idea protection, and business ethics. Overall, the session was informative and inspiring, encouraging students to pursue entrepreneurship with confidence and responsibility.

Trip to Rishikesh
Report on Educational & Recreational Visit to Rishikesh

The students of Himalayan Institute of Designing Technology were taken on a long-awaited educational and recreational visit to the spiritually enriching city of Rishikesh (Yog Nagari). This picnic, organized on students’ demand, turned out to be a memorable and joyful experience for all.The group visited the serene and enchanting banks of the holy Ganga, where students experienced spiritual calmness and took divine blessings. Students and staff also enjoyed a refreshing nature walk along the banks of the Ganga River, immersing themselves in the beauty of nature and the peaceful surroundings. During the visit, they explored various sacred places and temples, enhancing their spiritual experience. The students further visited prominent landmarks including Ram Jhula, Lakshman Jhula, Parmarth Niketan, and Triveni Ghat. They enjoyed the scenic beauty, clicked photographs, and spent quality time together filled with laughter and enthusiasm.The group relished a variety of food and refreshments, adding to the festive spirit of the outing. In the evening, students expressed their desire to participate in the sacred Ganga Aarti. All students and staff stayed back to witness the divine Aarti at Triveni Ghat, seeking the blessings of Ganga Maiya. The spiritual atmosphere left a deep and lasting impression on everyone.The visit was successfully conducted with the dedicated efforts and support of all teaching staff. Special contribution was made by Warden Mrs. Parwati Bisht, Mrs. Premlata Bajaj, and Mr. Neeraj Banafer, whose involvement ensured the smooth ex*****on of the trip.Overall, the visit was a perfect blend of spirituality, recreation, and bonding. It will always remain a cherished and unforgettable experience for all the students and staff members.
