"An ant can lift an elephant" if the lever is long enough and material of fulcrum and lever is quite dense.
(Assuming the energy dissipation is zero)

So, actually lever are magic wands.

I personally call the law of lever by the name of Mechanical Work Amplifier.

Let me put some physics behind it:

To balance two objects on each side of lever we need to balance their torque; T(a)=T(b)where T= Force×length of lever from fulcrum.

Now,

F(a)×a= F(b)×b

If the object is on side 'b', the mechanical advantage becomes

F(b)= a×F(a)/b

The higher the value of a the lesser the force F(a) will be needed while keeping value of 'b' possibly lower.

That's how an ant if wants can virtually lift an elephant.
