The recently enacted IT rules have become a great deal of debate and discussion among the legal fraternity since it's very inception. Various techno-legal and socio-legal issues have emerged out of it with several jurisprudential and constitutional dilemmas remaining unanswered. Thus, this special edition stands dedicated to it with an aim to foster a platform for sharing of Ideas and knowledge in order to stimulate an intellectual discussion for resolving key issues pertaining to these rules.

Ms. Maithili Parikh
Ms. Maithili is an alumna of Harvard Law School, where she pursued her LLM, and Government Law College, Mumbai, where she pursued her BLS.LLB. She is a Commercial and International Disputes lawyer, and is qualified in India and New York.
At Government Law College, she was the Chief Student Editor of the college magazine and co-founder, and President, of the Teach For India Society. She graduated with a gold medal and was awarded the Ranganath Rao Trophy for ‘Best Student’. She interned for over a year with Justice G.S. Patel of the Bombay High Court during her LLB studies, and also published articles in the Mumbai Mid-Day, Huffington Post India and GLC Law Review. After graduation, she worked in the chambers of Senior Counsel Zal Andhyarujina before pursuing her LLM.
At Harvard, she was the LLM Representative for the Law and International Development Society, and represented Harvard in an international moot. She wrote her LLM thesis under Professor Michael Waibel in the field of International Investment Arbitration. After graduating Harvard, she worked in International Arbitration in Dubai. Her passion project is a community for women lawyers called Her Forum, where she is the Chief Strategic Officer.

Priyanka have cleared UGC-NET in 2013 and CG SET in 2019 and is pursuing Ph.D. (Law) from National Law University, Jodhpur.

Mr. Sushanth is the CEO of Sushanth IT Law Associates. He is a cyber law expert and techno legal consultant from Hyderabad. Dr. Surat is Harvard and Oxford educated international Lawyer and Jurist from India. He was educated at Delhi (India), Oxford (England) and Harvard (America). With his three masters' degrees in Law from Delhi, Oxford and Harvard respectively and his Doctor of Laws (S.J.D) from Harvard, he is arguably the highest educated lawyer of India.
He has been the Contemporary of American President Barack Obama at Harvard Law School during 1988-90. He attended both the first and second inauguration ceremonies of Obama’s Presidency. After his seven years stint at Oxford and Harvard, Dr. Surat Singh returned to India and started his law career in 1992 with the then Attorney General of India, G. Ramaswamy.

Ms. Kirthana completed her undergraduate studies in Commerce at Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi. Post that, she pursued a three-year LL.B. degree from Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi where she secured the third rank in her batch.
Afterwards she went on to join the University of Cambridge, UK to pursue her Masters Degree in Corporate Law (MCL) and secured fifth rank in her cohort. Ms. Sanskriti is an alumna of the University of Cambridge, UK where she read for her Master's in Law (LL.M., International Law). She graduated from Cambridge in 2020 with First Class (H) and as a recipient of the Jennings Prize (Wolfson College). During her time at Cambridge, she was an Research assistant to the authors of a book (forthcoming, CUP) for a chapter specific to child rights on the 'Right to Life in International Law'. She was also a researcher at the Cambridge Pro Bono Project on 'Action on Armed Violence' and a General Editor for the Cambridge International Law Journal.
Prior to pursuing her graduate studies at Cambridge, Sanskriti was an undergraduate student at the Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) where she was an Aditya Birla Scholar, and from which she graduated in 2019 as a recipient of 8 gold medals. During her time at GNLU, Sanskriti was the Convenor of the GNLU Centre for Law and Society as well as a Student Editor for the GNLU Journal of Law, Development, and Politics, and the GNLU Law and Society Review. Presently, she is a Lecturer at the Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) and a research member of the Institute for Internet & the Just Society.
