Moravian Institute held its annual Inter-House Athletics from 27 Oct to 30 Oct 2025, concluding with the Final Day on Nov 04, 2025. Students from all three houses competed against each other with great enthusiasm and fervor in various events. On Friday, 17th October 2025, Science pupils of Classes 9 to 12 went for an Educational tour to Science City, Premnagar. The students had a fun day of learning and exploring real-life examples and applications of Science, allowing them to connect classroom knowledge with practical experiences.

Today our Junior boys played their final match against Cambrian Hall in the DDPSA Junior Boys Football Tournament. They defeated Cambrian Hall with a decisive score of 5-0 to bring home the trophy. Jordan Gengmei scored 3 goals and Nikhil Rawat scored 2 goals in the final match.

The DDPSA Junior Boys Football Tournament has been won by Moravian Institute 14 times, from 1988 -1998, 2013, 2024 and 2025.

An Inter-House Singing Competition was held on 13 September 2025 at Moravian Institute. Students showcased their musical talents, captivating the audience with melodic solos and harmonious duets. Overall, Phuntsog house stood first, Gergan second and Tharchin third.

Moravian Institute's dominance in football continues!
Our Senior Boys played their final match against Cambrian Hall in the 25th Colonel Shashi Shamsher Invitational Football tournament organised by Cambrian hall. In a thrilling match which extended into extra time, Samyi Rongmei scored the winning goal at the last moment to bring home the victory.

Jaujianlong Gengmei was awarded Best Defender of the tournament. Congratulations to the boys, coaches and staff on winning the tournament!

Debates help students develop oratory skills, critical thinking and confidence, while encouraging them to appreciate diverse perspectives. Moravian Institute conducted an Inter-House English Debate Competition on 26 July 2025. Each house put forth structured arguments and counterarguments on the topics of the debate, displaying the participants' sharp reasoning and confidence in tackling thought-provoking topics.

Phuntsog house won the debate, followed by Gergan house and Tharchin house in second and third respectively.

An Inter-House Hindi Debate(Grades 9-12) and Hindi Poetry Recitation(Grades 1-8) was held on 19 July 2025. Participants from each house showcased their oratory skills, presenting well-thought arguments and counterpoints on the topics.

Phuntsog house emerged as the winners, with Tharchin house in second and Gergan house in third place.

On April 15, 2025, an Inter-Class Chart Competition was held. Each class prepared their charts according to a theme assigned to them. Classes competed in pairs - Class 5 vs 6, 7 vs 8 and so on. Classes 6, 8, 10 and 11 won the chart competition.

On April 26, 2025, PYDS (Purkal Youth Development Society) school conducted a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) workshop at Moravian Institute. Classes 7 and 8 took part in a bridge-building activity, while Class 9 (Robotics and AI students) were introduced to the basics of Robotics through Tinkercad.

We are very thankful to Purkal Youth Development Society for this opportunity. We'd like to especially thank the Principal, Teachers and Students who conducted this workshop and the wonderful gifts to Moravian Institute.
